Who is this app for?
Sites building email lists with popups, forms and native email campaigns. Pro includes one site and 1,000 stored contacts; additional sites need separate subscriptions.
Main advantage
Pro combines popup tests, targeting and native email sending in one subscription.
Main limitation
Contact storage is limited to 1,000 at the base price. Additional sites each require Pro.

Pricing and plans

New subscriptions have one Pro plan: $25 monthly or $19 per month billed $228 annually. Both include one site, 1,000 stored contacts and unlimited native email sends. Pro is priced per site with contact-storage tiers. Native email sends are unlimited; the 50,000-pageview allowance is specifically for social-proof popups.

New subscriptions offer a 14-day trial with a payment card. The account announces that legacy Free ends November 9, 2026; existing paid customers retain their plan and price. Social-proof popups have a separate 50,000-pageview allowance.

Features and plan access

Build popups, inline forms, welcome mats, scroll boxes and smart bars. The editor includes entrance animations, a reopening tab, exit-intent and timed triggers, frequency controls and display rules.

Current Pro includes A/B tests, advanced targeting, welcome emails, broadcasts and webhooks. The saved test campaign remained a draft; availability in the legacy free editor does not establish free publishing rights after its announced closure.

Formats & content

A standalone message without a form or action button is not confirmed, so Announcements is not credited. Choose Add a Call to Action instead of Collect Emails to show a message that links to a URL or downloadable file. This does not require an email collection form.

CTA campaigns link visitors to a destination without an email signup. Smart bars and scroll boxes provide additional promotion formats; a standalone message with no form or action remains unconfirmed.

Forms

BDOW!’s form controls include email capture, single choice, multiple choice, free text, and consent checkbox. Pro includes welcome emails within its sending allowance. Make a form field required before submission. The useful distinction is between collecting a contact and qualifying it: extra questions, consent and the next step after submission shape the signup flow. Phone-number collection and permission to send marketing messages are separate requirements.

Surveys

BDOW! has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Choose the response format around the question you want to answer. A recommendation score, a satisfaction rating and a quiz outcome serve different purposes; support for one does not imply the others or an automatic report.

Gamification

BDOW! has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. The game is the way an offer is revealed; prize configuration and the signup flow determine what the visitor actually receives. Compare the available formats, reward controls and repeat-play rules before choosing a mechanic for a promotion.

Experiments

BDOW!’s testing tools include A/B testing. Pro includes A/B testing. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. Email & SMS

BDOW!’s messaging channels include email marketing. Send email broadcasts to your subscribers from BDOW. Check the sending allowance for your plan. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Team & sites

Manage sites independently, with separate Pro subscriptions for additional sites. The documented User and Admin permissions distinguish campaign work from billing and user management. Assign access per site and reserve administrative permissions for people who manage billing and colleagues. Separate access to the account from permission to change or publish campaigns. For a team managing several sites, the useful questions are which sites each person can work on, who controls billing and whether each site needs its own subscription.

Developer

BDOW!’s developer interfaces include webhooks. Pro includes webhook integrations. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support

Live chat is available to paid users. The free account displays an upgrade requirement for real-time support. Consider the support channel alongside the work you expect help with. Access to chat does not by itself promise round-the-clock coverage, a response deadline or someone to build your campaigns. Those service commitments need to be distinguished from ordinary product assistance.

Editor & workflow

BDOW!’s editing tools include campaign drafts. Save a campaign as an unpublished draft before publishing. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Data & reporting

BDOW! has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Use the reporting workflow to connect captured responses with the decisions you need to make. Downloading leads, scheduling reports and attributing revenue are different capabilities; a contact export alone does not establish an analytics dashboard or revenue measurement.

Integrations

Email delivery can use a site-wide destination with campaign-specific overrides. Zapier and webhooks support other workflows, while FormSync shares submissions with a provider-hosted form. Tracking pixels and Google Analytics 4 measure campaigns; they are not a native CRM or spreadsheet sync. Shopify connectivity is not credited as ready while the guide says it is being updated.

The current plan guide includes email integrations and webhooks in paid Pro / Plus features. It says Shopify integrations are being updated, so Shopify is not credited as currently ready. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows.

Shopify

Shopify-specific capabilities for BDOW! are not confirmed in this review. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

What one display or signup could cost

At $25.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.025 per display and $1.25 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.

The capacity check assumes one site and 250 billable contacts. Billing is based on stored contacts; separate social-proof pageview allowance, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.

OutcomeCalculationEstimated cost
One display$25.00 ÷ 1,000$0.03
1,000 displays$25.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000$25.00
One signup$25.00 ÷ 20$1.25

About this review

Popup Papa compares published pricing, product documentation and help articles. This is a documentation-based review, not a hands-on performance test. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
