# SendFox Popup Integrations: Personal Access Tokens, Lists and Contact Fields

A creator offers a free chapter on a sales page. A reader asks for it twice: first from a newsletter popup and later from a course page. SendFox may already know the address by the time the second form arrives. The question is whether it also knows which offer was requested.
Start with the address and list for a simple newsletter. For a chapter download, decide which list or automation will deliver the file to a first-time reader and what should happen if an existing subscriber requests it again.
## A contact field and a list answer different questions
SendFox documents creating contact fields and enabling them in its own forms and Smart Pages. A custom field can store the reader’s city or company. SendFox limits email personalization to supported tags such as first name; a saved city cannot be inserted into the email body as a custom field. A mailing for a local audience therefore needs a way to select those readers.
Poptin documents a personal token, a list ID and two supported fields. Claspo publishes a webhook recipe aimed at the SendFox contacts endpoint. Those are materially different setups for someone who will maintain several landing pages alone.

### One downloadable chapter on two different websites
Use two forms with the intended list assignment. Sign up on each page, then compare the resulting subscriber records. One list can feed a welcome automation for both sites. Check whether a returning member can receive the chapter again; list membership alone records neither the second request nor the site it came from.
If attribution matters, choose a connector that can store the source alongside the signup. For a name-and-email connector, consider separate lists for genuinely distinct offers instead of asking for an answer that the connection cannot preserve.

### Keep an authenticated webhook maintainable
Start with one test contact and the required email parameter. Add the list and only the optional parameters you can verify in SendFox. A form success message establishes that the visitor finished; inspect the destination record to establish that the request was accepted.
Rotate the test token or try an invalid value in a staging copy. Have the person who maintains the newsletter locate the failure. This is the difference between a working demonstration and a connection a small publishing team can operate.

Can a SendFox email display a reader’s custom city field?
SendFox supports a personalized greeting using the reader’s first name. A city saved in a custom contact field remains on file; the email editor cannot insert that custom field into the message.
