Claspo

42.08
Official website

Marketers who want to collect leads with games and interactive forms, target campaigns using visitor data, and keep multiple promotions from overlapping.

Who is this app for?
Stores that want games, quizzes and regular signup campaigns in one popup builder.
Main advantage
The widest game selection in our hands-on reviews: eight mechanics, including memory cards and seasonal games. Games and A/B testing are also included on the free Shopify tier.
Main limitation
Billing follows pageviews, including visits that do not produce a popup display. The listed Shopify plans cover one site.

Pricing and plans

For Shopify, Free includes the feature set at 3,000 pageviews. The first paid tier removes branding and increases traffic capacity. The pageview allowance measures site traffic, not just visible popups. This matters for a campaign shown only on selected pages or to a small audience.

Shopify listing prices with monthly billing. Annual discounts and other traffic tiers are available; web-app account features may differ.

Features and plan access

Claspo’s editor offers eight games: wheel, scratch card, gift box, slots, memory cards, treasure hunt, a Christmas tree game and an egg reveal. The inspected slot template has editable prizes and probabilities, followed by a signup screen. Forms include email, phone, written answers and single-choice fields, with separate NPS and Rating components for surveys.

The Shopify Free tier already includes the popup feature set. Paying mainly increases pageview capacity and removes branding, so test the required campaign before upgrading. Account collaboration needs a separate check: Shopify and web-app documentation describe different access, even where the popup editor offers similar capabilities.

Formats & content

A standalone message without a form or action button is not confirmed, so Announcements is not credited. Informational widgets display content without collecting visitor data. Adding or removing form components changes the widget type, so an announcement does not need a signup field.

Scheduling, page and geographic targeting help limit a notice to the right audience. Frequency controls and the annoyance safeguard are especially useful when several campaigns run together. The Shopify allowance still counts pageviews, so restricting a message’s audience should not be assumed to reduce billed traffic.

Forms

Claspo’s form controls include email capture, phone field, single choice, free text, and consent checkbox. Split a form across screens. Use conditional form logic to tailor the next question. The useful distinction is between collecting a contact and qualifying it: extra questions, consent and the next step after submission shape the signup flow. Phone-number collection and permission to send marketing messages are separate requirements.

Experiments

A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS

Claspo has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Team & sites

Claspo’s web app documents teammates and Admin, Marketer, Analyst and Viewer roles with site access. Its help documentation excludes Shopify accounts, even though the Shopify listing mentions unlimited users. That conflict matters because the pricing table here uses the Shopify offer.

Do not budget for client permissions by combining web-app role documentation with a Shopify price. Establish which account type provides the roles you need. More pageviews or a paid Shopify subscription does not by itself resolve the difference.

Developer

Claspo’s developer interfaces include browser API and webhooks. Send form submission data to an external webhook endpoint. Open an existing widget through the browser API. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support

The Shopify listing includes standard support on Free and priority support on paid tiers. It does not specify the channel or a response-time commitment for priority service. Paying therefore establishes a different support level, not a verified number of hours saved. We have not tested response times; confirm coverage if campaign launches depend on assisted setup.

Editor & workflow

Claspo has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Integrations

Google Sheets has a dedicated delivery guide, alongside email and CRM destinations such as Klaviyo and HubSpot. Zapier, Make and webhooks cover intermediary workflows; Google Analytics and Meta Pixel serve measurement. Choose by the data you need to send or track, not by the catalogue’s total connector count.

Works with Shopify

Claspo’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation, native app, products and variants, and metafields and metaobjects. Add the Shopify Products component to a widget. Map customer fields and metafields through the Shopify integration. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness

Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.

Connects submissions and existing widgets

Claspo exposes a browser trigger for existing widgets and configurable webhooks for form data. Its separate AI CRO Agency is a beta service with human specialists; external campaign creation and management were not established in the inspected account.

Agent taskWhat the agent can do
UnderstandUnconfirmedNo external interface for reading saved designs, campaign lists and targeting rules was established.
CreateUnconfirmedWe inspected the manual editor. The separately offered AI CRO beta was not accessed or tested.
OperatePartialJavaScript can trigger an existing widget; webhooks forward responses into another workflow. This does not establish account-level editing or publishing.
MeasurePartialSubmission events and webhook payloads expose individual responses. External retrieval of historical campaign reports was not established.
Work safelyUnconfirmedAgent-specific permissions and rollback were not established. The AI CRO beta advertises approval before launches and tests, but that flow was not verified.

The inspected widget remains unpublished. AI CRO beta currently focuses on subscriber growth and involves Claspo specialists; participation terms are agreed separately. API execution and live data delivery were not tested.

What one display or signup could cost

At $39.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.039 per display and $1.95 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.

The capacity check assumes one site and 2,000 pageviews. Billing is based on site pageviews, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.

OutcomeCalculationEstimated cost
One display$39.00 ÷ 1,000$0.04
1,000 displays$39.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000$39.00
One signup$39.00 ÷ 20$1.95

Claspo alternatives: which should you choose?

Stores that want games, quizzes and regular signup campaigns in one popup builder. Billing follows pageviews, including visits that do not produce a popup display. The listed Shopify plans cover one site.

Compare Getsitecontrol against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.

Claspo vs Getsitecontrol

Claspo 50K counts 50,000 pageviews for $39/month. Getsitecontrol Pro counts 100,000 widget displays for $19/month per site; email sends are extra.

About this review

Popup Papa compares published pricing, product documentation and help articles. This is a documentation-based review, not a hands-on performance test. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
