Getsitecontrol
72.42Sites running recurring announcements, promotions and signup campaigns that need flexible design and targeting. View-based pricing suits selective notices; Pro Max offers unlimited widget views at $29 per month per site.
- Who is this app for?
- Sites running recurring notices, promotions and signup campaigns, especially when only a portion of visitors should see each message.
- Main advantage
- The allowance counts widget displays. Pro includes the full feature set; Pro Max removes the view limit for $29/month per site.
- Main limitation
- Subscriptions are per site and email sends cost extra. Multiple sites and frequent email campaigns need their own budget.
Pricing and plans
Getsitecontrol has three plans per site. Pro unlocks the full feature set; Pro Max increases capacity without another feature upgrade. Actual widget displays consume the allowance. A visitor who does not see a widget is a different event from a counted display, which matters for selectively targeted messages.
Email is billed separately. Sites in an account share the selected plan type, but each site has its own subscription and allowance.
| Plan | Price & limits | What changes |

| Free | Free10,000 widget views per site | Basic widget tools |

Features and plan access
Getsitecontrol combines multi-step forms, conditional questions and promotional widgets. Surveys and NPS collect feedback, A/B testing compares variants, and dynamic text personalizes messages. Ask AI edits widget copy, appearance and targeting directly in the builder. Spin-to-win, scratch and reveal cards add prize-based interactions. Bot protection and double opt-in address different problems: suspicious submissions and confirmation of email ownership.
Pro opens the full feature set and removes branding. Pro Max mainly changes capacity, so it is not needed simply to start testing or using advanced targeting. Follow-up emails and broader email campaigns are available in the same platform, with sending billed separately from the widget subscription.

Formats & content
Build an announcement from a message template or a blank popup, with text, images and optional buttons. A form is not required; the message can simply be dismissed.
Frequency rules can stop repeats after a view, closure or action, while scheduling and targeting control when and where the message appears. The allowance counts widget displays, making actual exposure relevant to the budget. Pro Max removes the view limit; email sending remains a separate cost.

Forms
Getsitecontrol’s form controls include email capture, phone field, single choice, multiple choice, and free text. Targeting
Getsitecontrol’s audience and display controls include page targeting, geo targeting, device targeting, audience targeting, and behavior triggers. Combine referral, visitor and Shopify cart or customer conditions. Trigger widgets after a delay, on scroll or on exit intent. Audience conditions decide who qualifies, while triggers decide when a message opens. Frequency and scheduling controls serve a different purpose: keeping campaigns relevant across repeat visits and preventing the same promotion from appearing too often.

Experiments
Getsitecontrol’s testing tools include A/B testing. Compare popup variants with A/B tests on Pro. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS
Getsitecontrol’s messaging channels include email marketing. Create email broadcasts, segments and automated workflows in the same platform. Email sending is billed separately from the popup plan. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Team & sites
Assign teammates to sites and set None, View, Edit or Full access separately for widgets, emails and contacts. Edit allows drafting and data changes; Full additionally allows activation, sending or exports for the relevant section. Admins have account-wide access, including billing and user management, but cannot delete the account.
Multiple sites can share an account, but each has its own subscription and allowance. Account organization therefore does not create a pooled multi-site price. Decide which sites a teammate should manage, then budget for the subscription on each site rather than counting the account as one licence.

Developer
Getsitecontrol’s developer interfaces include browser API and webhooks. Send form submissions to an external HTTP endpoint. Control existing widgets through the browser JavaScript API. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support
Live chat is included on all Getsitecontrol plans, including Free. Upgrading is therefore not required just to use that support channel. The reviewed evidence does not establish round-the-clock coverage or a contractual response-time guarantee, and we have not tested response speed. Integrations
Google Sheets receives submissions directly with field mapping, and Google Analytics 4 records views, clicks and other widget interactions. Email and CRM connections can pass form fields, visitor information and UTM parameters. Zapier, Integrately and custom webhooks extend delivery to other services; a connected Shopify account can also receive contacts in its customer list.

Works with Shopify
Getsitecontrol’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation, native app, products and variants, and collections. Add product cards to emails and send customers selections of abandoned products, purchased products, related products, bestsellers and products on sale. Work with Shopify collections. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. Capability score
The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness
Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.
Edits widgets in the builder and connects through site hooks
Ask AI reads the open widget and edits its copy, appearance and targeting in the builder. Browser hooks and webhooks support external workflows; these are separate from the in-app assistant.
| Agent task | What the agent can do |
|---|---|
| UnderstandPartial | Ask AI reads the open widget and its preview to suggest or apply changes. Account-wide discovery through an external-agent interface remains unconfirmed. |
| CreatePartial | The in-app assistant changes widget copy, appearance and targeting directly in the open draft. An external agent interface for creating and publishing widgets remains unconfirmed. |
| OperatePartial | Show or close an existing widget in a visitor’s browser, or trigger a prepared automation through a webhook request. Showing a widget programmatically bypasses its targeting rules; closing it does not pause the campaign. |
| MeasurePartial | Browser callbacks expose views, closes, submissions and button actions. An interface for retrieving historical account reports is not established. |
| Work safelyUnconfirmed | Ask AI changes the open draft; saving remains a separate editor action. Team permissions distinguish editing from activation and sending. Agent-specific permissions and API rollback remain unconfirmed. |
Ask AI works inside the widget editor. Inline AI writing is listed on Free. Browser API and webhooks provide separate connections for website and automation workflows.
What one display or signup could cost
At $19.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.019 per display and $0.95 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.
The capacity check assumes one site and 1,000 actual widget displays. Billing is based on widget impressions, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.
| Outcome | Calculation | Estimated cost |
|---|---|---|
| One display | $19.00 ÷ 1,000 | $0.02 |
| 1,000 displays | $19.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000 | $19.00 |
| One signup | $19.00 ÷ 20 | $0.95 |
Getsitecontrol alternatives: which should you choose?
Sites running recurring notices, promotions and signup campaigns, especially when only a portion of visitors should see each message. Subscriptions are per site and email sends cost extra. Multiple sites and frequent email campaigns need their own budget.
Compare Claspo and Poptin against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.
Getsitecontrol vs Claspo
Getsitecontrol Pro costs $19/month per site for 100,000 displays. Claspo’s $39 Shopify tier counts 50,000 pageviews and includes games; its free tier already provides the feature set.
- Choose Claspo
- For a different selection of games and quizzes alongside signup forms.
- Choose Getsitecontrol
- For targeted announcements where actual displays are far below site pageviews.
Getsitecontrol vs Poptin
Poptin Basic costs $25/month for 10,000 visitors on one site. Getsitecontrol Pro costs $19/month for 100,000 displays per site. Repeated displays and repeated page browsing affect these meters differently.
- Choose Poptin
- When visitor-based capacity suits repeated popup exposure, or the Agency account workflow is important.
- Choose Getsitecontrol
- When selective campaigns make display-based billing attractive; use Pro Max for unlimited views.
About this review
We reviewed product documentation and the admin interface, including AI editing, game controls and team permissions. The latest editor check was on October 19, 2026. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.
“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.
Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
