Klaviyo vs Getsitecontrol.
Forms, feedback or a full email journey?
Both products can collect a lead and send the follow-up. Getsitecontrol adds feedback ratings, conditional forms and AI widget editing; Klaviyo brings profile-based journeys, form experiments and external APIs.
What do you need your website to do next?
Getsitecontrol and Klaviyo both combine onsite capture with native email, so the useful question is what kind of campaign you need to run. A signup form is only one possible job.
Getsitecontrol covers standalone messages, feedback ratings, conditional questions and several reward games. Klaviyo ties forms closely to customer profiles, Shopify history and lifecycle flows, with more extensive confirmed external form operations.
Their prices also follow different usage. Getsitecontrol counts widget displays and separate email credits; Klaviyo counts active profiles and sends. We use the same workload scenarios to make that difference visible.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 194 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Klaviyo focuses its onsite editor on signup forms, including popup, flyout and embedded layouts. Mobile settings adapt the signup experience to smaller screens. Getsitecontrol builds standalone notices, slide-ins and bars, with teasers, countdowns and dynamic text. Desktop and mobile styles can be adjusted separately.

Forms
Getsitecontrol earns the higher forms score through ratings and conditional paths. Klaviyo is well suited to contact capture inside a marketing profile, but several feedback controls remain unconfirmed there. Klaviyo collects email, phone, text, radio, dropdown and checkbox answers across multiple steps. Consent and hidden properties attach to the profile. Phone-format checks, CAPTCHA and double opt-in help protect the list; mobile tap-to-text provides another SMS signup route. Getsitecontrol includes text, email, phone, single and multiple choice, hidden values and consent. Star, NPS, emoji and binary ratings support feedback; conditional fields and page branching change the next question. Double opt-in and reCAPTCHA support signup quality.

Gamification
Getsitecontrol offers more confirmed game formats. Klaviyo’s wheel is enough if the promotion only needs a weighted spin followed by a coupon and welcome flow. Klaviyo offers a spin-to-win block with two to six slices. Each slice has a probability, success step and coupon. The signup can sit before or alongside the spin. This establishes a configurable wheel, not a library of scratch cards, calendars or outcome quizzes. Getsitecontrol offers a wheel, scratch card and tap-to-reveal card. Prize settings include coupon codes, relative weights and replay controls. The wheel controls spin timing, and the scratch card sets how much cover must be removed.

Targeting
Both cover common targeting tasks. Klaviyo adds confirmed priority between queued forms and audience rules built on its customer segments. Getsitecontrol lets a widget use its own display and cart conditions directly. Klaviyo combines URL, UTM, device and location rules with lists and customer segments. Delay, scroll, exit and click triggers control the opening moment. Frequency settings limit repeat appearances, and form priorities decide which queued campaign appears first. Getsitecontrol combines page, device, location, referral and visitor conditions with Shopify cart data. It supports delay, scroll and exit triggers, repeat rules based on views or actions, and date, weekday and time schedules.

Experiments
Klaviyo’s form tests have the more complete confirmed traffic and automatic-winner controls. Getsitecontrol covers testing widget variants, but the decision to finish remains with the operator. Klaviyo tests up to seven form variations, divides traffic evenly or by configured weights, and supports automatic winner selection. Results include revenue per variation. A test between form designs does not itself establish a no-form control group. Getsitecontrol Pro randomly assigns visitors to widget variants and reports views, actions and click-through rate. Widget tests end manually. Automatic winner selection in its email-broadcast testing is a separate capability.

Email & SMS
Both satisfy the shared native-email and automation criteria. Getsitecontrol separates sending usage from widget capacity; Klaviyo packages sending with active-profile tiers. The email requirement alone does not settle this pair. A Klaviyo signup can enter a welcome flow from a list. Flows also respond to segments, events and dates, with delays and conditional paths for later messages. Broadcasts, segmentation, email and SMS belong to the same platform; profiles and sending allowances determine the bill. Getsitecontrol includes broadcasts, contact segments and automations. Submission, contact and store events can start workflows with conditions and delays. Sends use email credits billed separately from widget views.

Team & sites
Both provide controlled billing access and differentiated roles. Getsitecontrol is explicit about per-entity access. Klaviyo also has confirmed activity history, which gives it the higher shared score for this round. Klaviyo provides predefined and custom roles, with separate responsibilities for content, analysis and account management. Owners and Admins can edit billing. An activity log records changes, and Portfolio groups accounts; that grouping is not a promise of one subscription for every website.
Getsitecontrol sets None, View, Edit or Full access separately for widgets, emails and contacts on each site. Full adds actions such as activation, sending and exports. Owner-appointed account admins manage billing, sites and users; only the owner can delete the account.

Developer
Klaviyo’s REST API can create, update and publish forms, with reporting endpoints for performance. Browser events connect forms to site code. Its MCP server exposes campaigns, flows, profiles and reporting with scope restrictions; flow webhooks send custom payloads to an endpoint. Getsitecontrol provides browser hooks for widget actions and webhooks for captured data. These connections are separate from the assistant inside the editor.

Support
Both offer direct support. Getsitecontrol’s free chat is relevant if you expect help while staying on a small allowance; Klaviyo’s free email support ends after 60 days. Klaviyo’s paid plans include email and live chat support, with availability depending on the plan and day. Free accounts receive email support for the first 60 days, then rely on self-service and AI-assisted help. Getsitecontrol includes live chat on all plans, including Free.

Data & reporting
Klaviyo adds confirmed form revenue attribution and scheduled reports. Getsitecontrol covers the widget’s direct interaction funnel. An action rate and revenue following a form interaction answer different questions. Klaviyo reports submissions and revenue following form interactions, including revenue by test variation. Submitters can be grouped into a segment and exported. Custom reports can run on weekly or monthly schedules, and reporting APIs support external analysis. Getsitecontrol reports views, actions and click-through rates, with page, source, country and device breakdowns. Responses and contacts can be exported. Email delivery and engagement have separate reports.

Integrations
Getsitecontrol is flexible when the popup needs to feed an existing stack. Klaviyo’s forms naturally keep the data inside Klaviyo. Both can support a complete workflow, but the destination is a real product decision. Klaviyo stores signups in its own profiles and sends its own email and SMS. Its marketplace connects stores, CRMs, review and loyalty systems, advertising tools and automation services. A flow can POST a webhook payload; that route is different from a dedicated form-submission webhook. Getsitecontrol connects forms to email services, CRM destinations, Google Sheets, Zapier and analytics. Field mapping passes form, system and static values, while webhooks provide a custom destination. Its own contact list can also power native campaigns.

Shopify
Klaviyo has broader confirmed coverage of customer history and generated coupons. Getsitecontrol adds direct cart actions. Keep the two GSC app names distinct when choosing the installation and checking the badge. Klaviyo connects Shopify customers, products, orders and events to profiles and flows. Forms can target cart conditions and customer segments, including tags and order history. Unique Shopify coupons support signup incentives and automatic application at checkout; product data also powers follow-up emails.
Getsitecontrol can target Shopify cart and customer parameters, add a product to the cart and apply a discount from a widget button. The GSC Email Marketing + Popups app connects store events to email workflows. The separate GSC Popup, Email Pop Up app carries the Built for Shopify badge and supports Shopify Flow; neither earns points for Getsitecontrol.

Pricing
Getsitecontrol is cheaper in the native-email scenarios; Klaviyo can remain free for substantial form traffic when the list stays small. Getsitecontrol’s capacity examples assume one widget display per pageview, and two paid sites need two subscriptions. Klaviyo charges for active profiles and email volume rather than pageviews. Free covers 250 profiles and 500 monthly emails. The first paid email tier costs $20 for up to 500 profiles and 5,000 emails; removing form branding requires paid access. SMS has separate pricing.
Getsitecontrol Free covers 10,000 widget views. Pro costs $19 a month per site for 100,000 views, with branding removal and widget A/B tests; Pro Max costs $29 with unlimited views. Recurring email usage is priced separately: the stored scenarios use $2 for 1,000 sends and $10 for 5,000.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Klaviyo and Getsitecontrol in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 194 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
