ConvertFlow

47.4
Official website

Ecommerce teams building signup popups, product quizzes and conditional buying journeys, with customer data passed to their email platform or CRM.

Who is this app for?
Ecommerce teams connecting signup popups, product quizzes and recommendations into a buying journey, with answers passed to email or CRM tools.
Main advantage
Strong funnel controls: custom fields, scored answers, conditional steps, product recommendations and reporting down to individual steps. In-app AI assists the editor; MCP opens reports to external agents.
Main limitation
Conditional logic, recommendations and A/B tests require Pro at $299/month. Publishing is paid, and integrations, validation and AI consume an additional action allowance.

Pricing and plans

Free opens the builder without a payment card, but a paid website plan is required to go live. The account’s monthly comparison separates newsletter capture on Personal, CRM/SMS workflows on Prime, and conditional funnels and experiments on Pro. Budget for both funnel views and actions. A contact sync, validation or AI request can consume actions even when traffic remains within its limit. The subscription estimate assumes those workflows stay within the included action allowance.

Monthly USD prices observed in account billing. Extra actions cost $30/month per 1,000 on Personal, Prime and Pro. Submissions alone do not consume actions; connected workflows, validation and AI do. AI requests can use 1–100 actions; our short headline request used five. Paid-tier access was not purchased.

Features and plan access

The ecommerce editor combines email and SMS consent, custom fields, surveys, scored quizzes and product feeds. Launch rules include exit intent, delay, scroll, click and add-to-cart; conditions can use URLs, geography, visitor history and contact data. This is most useful for guided buying journeys and targeted offers.

Pro gates conditional steps and product recommendations; Prime covers CRM/SMS connections and validation. The AI chat produced three requested headline suggestions in our test. Campaign reports expose funnel-step results, cart events, orders and revenue, but real attribution was not tested without a connected store.

Gamification was not established in the inspected templates and element library: no native wheel, scratch card or equivalent game control was found. Product quizzes and scored surveys are credited under Surveys. Shopify discount application and unique-code generation remain untested; a discount template alone does not prove either workflow.

Formats & content

A standalone message without a form or action button is not confirmed, so Announcements is not credited. Message popups are designed for notices such as changed hours, policy updates and welcome messages, without making lead collection the purpose of the popup.

Sticky bars offer a persistent format alongside message popups. Broadcasts prioritize and schedule onsite campaigns; scheduling is listed on Pro. A notice does not need the same conditional product journey as a quiz; choose the subscription for the controls the notice actually requires.

Forms

ConvertFlow’s form controls include email capture, SMS capture, phone field, single choice, and multiple choice. Build forms and quizzes across funnel steps, with next/back controls. Separate steps were added in the test editor. Prime includes email and phone validation. Form settings also expose required fields, character limits and values to block. Validation consumes actions.

Surveys

ConvertFlow’s feedback formats include numeric rating and quizzes. The template named NPS Satisfication Survey rendered editable answers from 1 to 10, mapped to satisfaction_rating, so it is a numeric rating rather than a standard 0–10 NPS scale. The editor offers product-finder and qualification quizzes. Survey answers support scores and custom-field values; conditional outcomes require Pro.

Experiments

ConvertFlow’s testing tools include A/B testing. Campaign reporting exposes variants and traffic allocation. The in-account comparison places A/B experiments on Pro. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS

ConvertFlow has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Team & sites

ConvertFlow documents collaborators, clients and permissions, with multiple brands managed under an account. Site subscriptions remain separate: managing brands together does not mean the starting plan price covers every site.

For agency work, evaluate both the collaborator permissions and the subscription required for each client site. The reviewed material establishes that collaboration exists, but not a complete seat allowance or permission matrix for every starting tier. Confirm those limits alongside funnel traffic.

Developer

ConvertFlow’s developer interfaces include HTTP API, browser API, webhooks, and MCP server. Read funnel reports through the MCP interface. Access campaigns, contacts and reports through REST endpoints. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Support

ConvertFlow offers product support through chat and email. These channels are useful for questions about funnel setup and integrations, but published hours and guaranteed response times have not been established in this review. Editor & workflow

ConvertFlow’s editing tools include AI popup assistant. The editor chat generates headline copy; remix, quiz generation and AI insights are also offered in the app. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Data & reporting

Integrations

Connections can use tags, lists and customer segments for personalization as well as send new contacts out. Quiz and survey answers can enrich supported customer profiles. Shopify supplies store context, while ZeroBounce validates addresses using your API key. Those are distinct workflows; check the actions supported by your particular provider.

We inspected the connection menu and plan gates without connecting services. Sending or fetching contacts, webhook actions and validation consume the action allowance; destination subscriptions can cost extra. WordPress installation is not counted as a data connector. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows. For store-specific features, see our Shopify popup apps overview.

Works with Shopify

ConvertFlow’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation, native app, products and variants, and customer data. Connect Shopify to use products with variants, quantity, price and reviews. Conditional recommendations require Pro. Connect Shopify customer and order data. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness

Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.

Analyses funnels through MCP

ConvertFlow has working in-app AI and an official MCP for funnel reports. External agents can analyse campaigns and results; campaign creation, design editing and account-level publishing were not established through the reviewed interfaces. Browser hooks offer a narrower way to trigger existing popups.

Agent taskWhat the agent can do
UnderstandPartialMCP lists campaigns and report structures; REST lists campaigns and variants. Complete saved design and targeting configuration was not established.
CreateUnconfirmedThe reviewed external interfaces do not establish campaign creation or design editing. The in-app AI test generated copy only.
OperatePartialBrowser JavaScript can load and trigger an existing campaign. External activation, pausing or publishing at account level was not established.
MeasureSupportedMCP reports website, campaign, variant, step and element performance, experiments and weekly insights. Documented access; authenticated calls were not tested.
Work safelyPartialMCP uses reporting access bound to selected websites; account settings offer disconnection. REST documents resource scopes. Approval workflows and rollback through an external interface were not established.

The free account showed paid-website gates for MCP and API tokens. We inspected setup and documentation without authorizing a client or generating credentials. In-app AI was tested; external calls, live publication and integration delivery were not.

What one display or signup could cost

At $299.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.299 per display and $14.95 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.

The capacity check assumes one site and 2,000 funnel views. Billing is based on funnel views, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.

OutcomeCalculationEstimated cost
One display$299.00 ÷ 1,000$0.30
1,000 displays$299.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000$299.00
One signup$299.00 ÷ 20$14.95

ConvertFlow alternatives: which should you choose?

Ecommerce teams connecting signup popups, product quizzes and recommendations into a buying journey, with answers passed to email or CRM tools. Conditional logic, recommendations and A/B tests require Pro at $299/month. Publishing is paid, and integrations, validation and AI consume an additional action allowance.

Compare Personizely and Poptin against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.

ConvertFlow vs Personizely

ConvertFlow Pro starts at $299/month for 100,000 funnel views. Personizely Premium starts at $59/month for 10,000 visitors and ten sites, with popup testing and site personalization.

Choose Personizely
When the main job is experimenting with an existing site and its widgets.
Choose ConvertFlow
When popups, quizzes and landing pages need to form one conditional lead journey.

ConvertFlow vs Poptin

Poptin Basic costs $25/month for 10,000 visitors on one unbranded site. ConvertFlow Pro’s $299 starting fee buys a broader funnel workflow, not simply more popup styling.

Choose Poptin
For straightforward signup and promotional popups feeding an existing email tool.
Choose ConvertFlow
When conditional journeys and product recommendations justify a dedicated funnel platform.

About this review

We inspected a free account, its monthly plan comparison, targeting, integrations and an unpublished ecommerce popup draft on October 10–12, 2026. We tested the AI chat and reviewed official developer documentation. Paid conditional controls showed upgrade gates. Live publishing, Shopify cart and discount execution, delivery, revenue attribution and authenticated API/MCP requests were not tested. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
