Official website

Ecommerce teams that need branching onsite journeys: different messages and offers for different shopper segments, managed through campaign workflows.

Who is this app for?
Ecommerce teams building branching shopper journeys around cart contents, purchase history, subscriber status and product interests.
Main advantage
A visual workflow combines audience conditions, experiments, multi-step capture, product recommendations and profile updates. Lite includes ten team seats with separate publishing permissions.
Main limitation
Lite limits live workflows to five and custom segments to two. Paid overages are enabled by default; site visitors count even when they do not see a popup.

Pricing and plans

Justuno separates self-service software from Done-For-You implementation. The inspected account offers a 14-day full-platform trial and an Always Free tier with one live workflow. A free traffic allowance was not established, so our comparison uses the specified Lite allowance. Paid plans scale with monthly unique site visitors. Annual billing reduces the starting Lite price from $59 to $53.10 per month; Done-For-You is $299 monthly or $269.10 per month billed annually. Count the workflows and segments you need live at once before sizing traffic. The managed offer includes work performed for you, so its fee is not just a larger editor subscription.

Paid rows show monthly starting prices. Annual billing is separate. Paid overages are enabled by default and can be disabled through plan management or sales. The inspected trial required email verification to manage the subscription. Spotlight and phone verification have additional access restrictions.

Features and plan access

Start with the shopper journey: cart value, products viewed, purchase history and profile answers can determine enrollment and branches. A workflow can show a design, delay, test alternative paths, update a profile or sync data to an app. Re-enrollment and suppression settings help control competing campaigns.

The editor supplies email, phone, text, choice and consent fields, multiple screens, timers and game blocks. Product feeds cover upsell, cross-sell, recently viewed items and cart recovery. AI Smart Timing and AI-labelled recommendation algorithms are available; a prompt-based design assistant was not established in the inspected account.

Formats & content

The current template gallery includes shipping, app and promotional banners. A standalone popup containing only a message and close control was not completed in this audit, so Announcements is not credited yet.

Use the shared design and workflow controls for promotional messages, banners and notices. Enrollment can depend on the page, device, location or shopper data, while suppression and re-enrollment control repetition. Shopify embed activation is required before designs can appear; it remained off throughout this audit.

Justuno’s feedback formats include quizzes. Shopper Preference quiz templates and an Ask a question block are available. Collect answers with choice fields and use profile-property conditions in workflows. Choose the response format around the question you want to answer. A recommendation score, a satisfaction rating and a quiz outcome serve different purposes; support for one does not imply the others or an automatic report.

Experiments

Justuno’s testing tools include A/B testing. The workflow builder offers Multivariate Test paths. The account comparison includes A/B and multivariate tests on Lite; no live experiment was run. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS

Justuno has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Team & sites

Lite now lists ten seats. Full Access includes billing and team settings; Publisher can publish but cannot manage billing or the team. Creator can configure and save work without publishing, deactivating or deleting workflows. View Access is read-only. Custom roles are listed under Enterprise.

Give campaign builders Creator access and reserve publication for Publishers. This separates preparation from release inside the app. It does not establish equivalent restrictions for a personal API key, which the account says can access all data.

Developer

Justuno’s developer interfaces include HTTP API. Justuno documents an authenticated analytics API. The app warns that a personal API key accesses all account data. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support

The inspected comparison lists email tickets across tiers and live chat during US hours on Lite and above. Done-For-You adds implementation, onboarding and direct service channels. We did not test response quality or turnaround; agree the scope of managed work separately from software access. Consider the support channel alongside the work you expect help with. Access to chat does not by itself promise round-the-clock coverage, a response deadline or someone to build your campaigns. Those service commitments need to be distinguished from ordinary product assistance.

Editor & workflow

Justuno has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Integrations

Shopify was connected in the test store. The catalogue exposes email, SMS, CRM, analytics and commerce destinations, and workflow actions can sync profile data. No marketing provider was connected and no delivery was executed. HTTP Client/webhooks are documented, but searching HTTP in this account’s app catalogue returned no result; confirm availability before depending on a custom destination.

Catalogue presence establishes an available setup path, not successful delivery or a minimum plan. Cordial also has current help-centre coverage but was not seen in this account’s catalogue. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows. For store-specific features, see our Shopify popup apps overview.

Works with Shopify

Justuno’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation, native app, products and variants, and discounts. Recommend upsells, cross-sells, most-purchased items, previously viewed or purchased products, complete-the-look items and current or abandoned cart contents. Use fixed or unique discount codes and synchronize store discounts. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness

Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.

Connects reporting and visitor workflows

AI Smart Timing adjusts when campaigns appear, and the app offers AI-labelled product recommendations. External agents have a documented analytics API; external campaign creation, editing and publication were not established.

Agent taskWhat the agent can do
UnderstandUnconfirmedThe reviewed analytics API does not establish access to complete saved design, targeting and workflow configuration.
CreateUnconfirmedDesigns and a workflow were prepared manually in unpublished drafts. External creation and editing endpoints were not established.
OperatePartialConfigured workflows can branch, update profiles, sync apps and run code. Documented HTTP actions can pass data onward; external publish, pause and schedule controls were not established.
MeasurePartialThe documented analytics endpoint supports configurable chart queries, dates and time zones. The account has dashboards and export controls, but no authenticated API query or live attribution test was run.
Work safelyPartialCreator and Publisher roles separate preparation from release in the UI, and Activity records account actions. The app warns that a personal API key accesses all account data; scoped keys, external write approvals and rollback were not established.

Inspected in a Shopify test-store trial. The app embed remained inactive and all test designs/workflows remained unpublished. No API key was created, marketing integration connected, message sent or subscription changed. Role controls were inspected without invitations; API and webhook delivery remain untested.

What one display or signup could cost

At $59.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.059 per display and $2.95 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.

The capacity check assumes one site and 1,000 visitors. Billing is based on visitors, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.

OutcomeCalculationEstimated cost
One display$59.00 ÷ 1,000$0.06
1,000 displays$59.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000$59.00
One signup$59.00 ÷ 20$2.95

Justuno alternatives: which should you choose?

Ecommerce teams building branching shopper journeys around cart contents, purchase history, subscriber status and product interests. Lite limits live workflows to five and custom segments to two. Paid overages are enabled by default; site visitors count even when they do not see a popup.

Compare ConvertFlow and Popupsmart against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.

Justuno vs ConvertFlow

Justuno Lite starts at $59/month for 10,000 visitors and five live workflows. ConvertFlow Pro starts at $299/month for 100,000 funnel views, spanning popups, quizzes and landing pages.

Choose ConvertFlow
When landing-page funnels and conditional lead journeys are the core project.
Choose Justuno
For segment-based onsite workflows that fit Lite’s five-workflow allowance.

Justuno vs Popupsmart

Justuno Lite focuses on workflow orchestration and limits live workflows. Popupsmart Advanced costs $69/month with A/B testing and five sites, using a 100,000-pageview allowance.

Choose Popupsmart
For a team launching and testing ordinary popup campaigns across several sites.
Choose Justuno
When branching shopper journeys are more valuable than a simpler campaign setup.

About this review

We inspected Justuno in a Shopify test-store trial: unpublished workflow and form drafts, a spin-wheel template, enrollment conditions, product recommendations, discounts, integrations, analytics, roles and billing. The app embed remained inactive. Live targeting, submissions, reward redemption, AI timing performance and authenticated API requests were not tested. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
