Poper

44.33
Official website

Stores and marketing teams combining signup popups, games and surveys. The editor offers Shopify audience filters; separate form and quiz builders support more detailed response flows.

Who is this app for?
Stores that want several reward games alongside signup popups, surveys and product-recommendation quizzes.
Main advantage
Six game engines in the inspected catalogue, with configurable Plinko prizes, email capture, repeat-play limits and follow-up settings.
Main limitation
Free allowed one game and blocked integrations. Paid pricing is promotional, and the visitor label in billing differs from the pageview usage counter.

Pricing and plans

At the 50,000-visitor selector setting, the account showed monthly promotional prices of $12 for Starter, $19 for Pro and $39 for Business. Annual equivalents were $9, $14 and $29, billed as $108, $168 and $348 per year. The subscription also changes site, seat and campaign limits. Do not treat unlimited leads as proof of unlimited displays, or assume the annual promotion is a confirmed renewal price.

Table prices use the monthly promotion observed on October 12. The billing screen also showed regular monthly figures of $19, $31 and $65; these are not a verified renewal quote. Its traffic slider says visitors, while account usage says pageviews. Confirm the counting rule for your site; unlimited leads is not unlimited traffic.

Features and plan access

Poper spans regular popups, six catalogue game engines and separate form, survey and quiz builders. Our AI prompt produced a popup with the requested copy, email field and subscribe button. Plinko exposed individual slot prizes, losing outcomes, win probability and email capture.

The popup editor includes audience and Shopify filters; surveys include NPS and several rating formats. Pro lists tests, games and integrations, while Business lists conditional branching and the survey suite. Access to an editor in a free account does not prove entitlement to publish every configuration on Free.

Formats & content

Notification templates support informational announcements, including maintenance and service updates. Email capture and action buttons are optional, so the message can stand alone.

Published notification templates support standalone notices. In the inspected popup editor, triggers and repeat-display controls can limit interruptions; Shopify conditions can narrow the audience. Our calculation uses the observed Pro promotional monthly price, not the annual equivalent or an assumed renewal rate.

Experiments

Poper’s testing tools include A/B testing. The in-account Pro comparison lists A/B testing and automatic optimization. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS

Poper has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Developer

Poper’s developer interfaces include HTTP API, browser API, and webhooks. Read campaign lists, leads and analytics through the public API. The webhook connector is visible in the editor; Pro lists webhooks. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support

Starter lists chat and email support, while higher tiers advertise priority support. The account exposes Help & Support and an Intercom messenger. Response times and resolution quality were not tested. Consider the support channel alongside the work you expect help with. Access to chat does not by itself promise round-the-clock coverage, a response deadline or someone to build your campaigns. Those service commitments need to be distinguished from ordinary product assistance.

Editor & workflow

Poper’s editing tools include AI popup assistant. Generate a popup with heading, body text, form field and button from a text prompt; form, survey and quiz creation also accept text, document and URL inputs. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Data & reporting

Poper’s data and reporting tools include team notifications. New popup leads can be sent as notifications to a chosen Slack channel. Use the reporting workflow to connect captured responses with the decisions you need to make. Downloading leads, scheduling reports and attributing revenue are different capabilities; a contact export alone does not establish an analytics dashboard or revenue measurement.

Integrations

The inspected catalogue includes Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Slack and Webhook. Opening Webhook required an upgrade. The public API separately reads campaigns, leads and analytics; these reporting endpoints do not establish campaign creation or publication.

The authenticated popup and game catalogues expose email, CRM, Sheets, Slack and automation destinations. Opening Webhook in the Free game editor required a paid plan. Pro lists integrations and webhooks. No connection or delivery was tested; destination-specific requirements may differ. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows.

Works with Shopify

Poper’s Shopify coverage includes audience and cart targeting. Target by product name, price, availability, tags, type, vendor, collection name and cart total. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness

Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.

Generates popups; exposes reporting APIs

Poper generated a popup from our text prompt. External agents have a documented API for campaign lists, leads and analytics, plus browser events for existing popups. External campaign creation and publishing were not established.

Agent taskWhat the agent can do
UnderstandPartialThe documented API lists projects, domains and campaigns. Complete saved design and targeting configuration was not established.
CreateUnconfirmedIn-app AI generated our popup, but the reviewed external API does not establish campaign creation or design editing by an agent.
OperatePartialA named browser event can trigger a configured existing popup. Account-level publication, pausing and scheduling through an external API were not established.
MeasurePartialDocumented endpoints read leads and aggregate domain/campaign analytics. Browser events provide interaction signals. Authenticated reporting was not tested.
Work safelyUnconfirmedAgent-specific permission scopes, approval steps and rollback were not established. Business advertises role permissions, but they were not tested.

The in-account comparison lists API access on Business. Our free-account check covered editors and an AI-generated popup, with no connected store or live delivery. One onboarding game appeared Active without clicking Publish; it was immediately switched to Inactive. The ordinary popup was Inactive. API support here is documented, not an authenticated execution test.

What one display or signup could cost

At $19.00 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.019 per display and $0.95 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.

The capacity check assumes one site and 1,000 visitors. Billing is based on traffic allowance; paid selector says visitors, usage says pageviews, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.

OutcomeCalculationEstimated cost
One display$19.00 ÷ 1,000$0.02
1,000 displays$19.00 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000$19.00
One signup$19.00 ÷ 20$0.95

Poper alternatives: which should you choose?

Stores that want several reward games alongside signup popups, surveys and product-recommendation quizzes. Free allowed one game and blocked integrations. Paid pricing is promotional, and the visitor label in billing differs from the pageview usage counter.

Compare Claspo and Popupsmart against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.

Poper vs Claspo

Poper Pro showed a $19 monthly promotion at the 50,000-visitor setting, with ten sites and five seats. Claspo’s Shopify tier lists $39/month for 50,000 pageviews with games and testing; its inspected game catalogue is broader.

Choose Claspo
For a broader choice of game mechanics and explicitly pageview-based pricing.
Choose Poper
When its ten-site interactive campaign bundle fits, after confirming traffic and renewal terms.

Poper vs Popupsmart

Popupsmart Advanced lists $69/month for 100,000 pageviews, five sites and two members. Poper Pro showed $19/month during the promotion for ten sites and five seats at the 50,000-visitor setting; its usage screen uses a different pageview label.

Choose Popupsmart
For an A/B testing rollout with a clear published allowance.
Choose Poper
For games and quizzes across more sites, once the exact commercial terms are confirmed.

About this review

We inspected a free Poper account, generated a popup with AI and explored a Plinko campaign, form, survey and quiz editors. We checked in-account billing and public API documentation. No site was connected, no real submissions or deliveries were tested, and no Publish control was used. Editor access does not establish paid-tier entitlement. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
