POWR Popup
21.84Small sites and Shopify stores running simple signup or discount popups. Budget by submitted forms: the entry paid plan still allows only 25 per month.
- Who is this app for?
- Small sites and Shopify stores running signup or discount popups and routing responses into existing marketing tools.
- Main advantage
- Pro raises the submission allowance to 1,000 and adds Scheduling, display controls and marketing integrations.
- Main limitation
- Free and Starter both allow only 25 submissions a month. Starter is not a capacity upgrade.
Pricing and plans
POWR’s Shopify subscription counts submissions. The significant capacity jump is from Starter to Pro. Starter adds controls and chat without increasing the 25-submission allowance. Pro is the practical capacity upgrade; Business is a wider app bundle rather than just a small increase in popup limits.
Shopify monthly prices. Business includes other POWR apps; compare that bundle only if you will use them. Standalone Popup currently lists Pro at $15.84 monthly or $11.87/mo billed yearly, distinct from the Shopify listing. Standalone welcome emails and advanced trigger controls require Pro.

Features and plan access
POWR Popup provides signup and discount campaigns with an automatic response after submission, including on Free. In the Shopify offer, the major practical upgrade is submission capacity: Free and Starter both allow 25, while Pro raises that to 1,000.
Pro also adds scheduling, display controls and marketing integrations. Starter is therefore not the answer to a growing contact-capture volume. Business includes a wider POWR app bundle; compare that higher price only if those other apps or unlimited submissions are useful to your site.

Formats & content
A standalone message without a form or action button is not confirmed, so Announcements is not credited. Popup supports custom messages and simple announcements as well as lead-capture forms. A notice does not have to be an email signup campaign.
Pro’s scheduling and display controls are relevant to time-limited notices. The Shopify offer counts form submissions, so a message without a form has a different outcome from a signup campaign. Confirm any applicable display or usage conditions for your account rather than assuming a submission allowance guarantees unlimited announcement traffic.

Surveys
POWR Popup has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Choose the response format around the question you want to answer. A recommendation score, a satisfaction rating and a quiz outcome serve different purposes; support for one does not imply the others or an automatic report.

Targeting
POWR Popup’s audience and display controls include device targeting, behavior triggers, click trigger, scheduling, and frequency cap. Experiments
POWR Popup has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS
POWR Popup has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Compare native sending channels, automation and their allowances independently from the popup subscription; an integration with a mailing platform does not include that platform’s sending service.

Team & sites
The reviewed POWR Popup sources do not establish teammate seats, separate client accounts or granular role permissions for the listed Shopify plans. A bundle of POWR apps is not evidence of a shared-access model for a larger team.
For a single operator, submission capacity and the required integrations drive the immediate choice. If colleagues or clients need their own access, verify that separately before selecting Pro or Business. We have not credited account permissions based solely on the ability to install the app on a store.

Developer
POWR Popup has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. The scope of each interface matters more than the API label. Opening an existing popup, sending a submitted form to an endpoint and creating or publishing campaigns are different operations. Agent access depends on those operations and the permissions exposed.

Support
POWR lists email support on Free and live chat on Starter. That channel upgrade is distinct from submission capacity, which remains 25 on Starter in the Shopify offer. Support hours and guaranteed response times have not been established here. We have not tested service quality; confirm coverage if you need assisted setup for a scheduled campaign.

Editor & workflow
POWR Popup’s editing tools include free editor and campaign drafts. The editor automatically saves the widget while Publish remains a separate action. Build a Popup in the standalone Free editor without publishing it. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Data & reporting
POWR Popup has no confirmed capabilities in this section in the current review. Use the reporting workflow to connect captured responses with the decisions you need to make. Downloading leads, scheduling reports and attributing revenue are different capabilities; a contact export alone does not establish an analytics dashboard or revenue measurement.

Integrations
Mailchimp, Klaviyo and Google Sheets have Popup or form delivery guides. Store-contact sync covers Shopify and BigCommerce, while Zapier’s New Response trigger reaches CRM and messaging tools. POWR also documents a usage-based billing system with different integration thresholds, so confirm which account model applies rather than mixing its limits with Shopify prices.
The standalone Popup editor places integrations and welcome email in Pro. POWR also documents separate Shopify and usage-based offers; the latter enable integrations from the 5,000-pageview tier. Confirm which offer your account uses. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows. For store-specific features, see our Shopify popup apps overview.

Works with Shopify
POWR Popup’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation, native app, and customer synchronization. Synchronize POWR contacts with Shopify Customers. Integration access depends on the account billing model. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score
The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

What one display or signup could cost
At $15.29 per month, the selected plan allocates $0.015 per display and $0.76 per signup across 1,000 displays and 20 valid email signups. The table rounds to cents. The 2% signup rate is an assumption, not measured performance or a vendor charge per event.
The capacity check assumes one site and 20 form submissions. Billing is based on form submissions, which is distinct from the actual outcomes used here. For form-free announcements, compare displays rather than signups. Taxes, separately billed services and customer discounts are excluded.
| Outcome | Calculation | Estimated cost |
|---|---|---|
| One display | $15.29 ÷ 1,000 | $0.02 |
| 1,000 displays | $15.29 ÷ 1,000 × 1,000 | $15.29 |
| One signup | $15.29 ÷ 20 | $0.76 |
POWR Popup alternatives: which should you choose?
Small sites and Shopify stores running signup or discount popups and routing responses into existing marketing tools. Free and Starter both allow only 25 submissions a month. Starter is not a capacity upgrade.

POWR Popup vs CWILL

- For a few low-traffic notices with little need for response handling.
- Choose POWR Popup
- When the main task is collecting and routing form submissions.
About this review
Popup Papa compares published pricing, product documentation and help articles. This is a documentation-based review, not a hands-on performance test. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.
“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.
Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
