Wisepops

Official website

Businesses seeking a managed onsite marketing program with strategy and service alongside popups, feeds, push notifications, and product recommendations.

Who is this app for?
Businesses wanting a team to help plan and run onsite campaigns, rather than buying only an editor for their own staff.
Main advantage
The managed offer brings strategy, campaign production and the onsite platform into one service.
Main limitation
The published starting price is $599/month and the final scope needs a quote. It is a large commitment for occasional notices.

Pricing and plans

Demo required

Wisepops currently markets a managed service with all features. New customers need to book a demo and speak with the team to arrange access; there is no open self-service signup in the flow we checked. Existing accounts may still have access, as ours did. Compare the strategy and production work included in the proposal alongside platform access. An occasional announcement and an ongoing managed campaign programme are different purchasing requirements.

The final fee and deliverables depend on the proposal. Our expired legacy trial did not establish a current new-customer quote; the listed starting figure is not a confirmed price for that account.

Features and plan access

The inspected editor combines multi-step branches with email, phone, text and choice fields. It also exposes hidden fields, duplicate-email blocking, teaser tabs, custom-event triggers and repeat-display controls. The template gallery includes NPS, prize wheels, scratch cards and mystery boxes; those game and rating workflows were not run in this session.

The current offer is a managed service combining the platform with strategy and campaign production. Evaluate which campaigns the provider will deliver and maintain, not just how many feature names appear in the editor. The published starting price is not a fixed quote for every deployment or service scope.

Formats & content

A standalone message without a form or action button is not confirmed, so Announcements is not credited. Its announcement-popup setup demonstrates an informational message with a Start Hunting button, before any separate signup step. The popup is distinct from the notification-feed product.

A promotional message can lead to a separate experience without making signup the first step. Keep this popup format distinct from the notification-feed product. For recurring notices, agree who will prepare, schedule and retire each message, then compare the quoted service scope with the simpler task you need done.

Surveys

Wisepops’s feedback formats include NPS. Ask how likely visitors are to recommend you on a 0–10 scale. This badge identifies NPS collection, not a promise of automatic score reporting. Choose the response format around the question you want to answer. A recommendation score, a satisfaction rating and a quiz outcome serve different purposes; support for one does not imply the others or an automatic report.

Gamification

Wisepops’s game formats include spin the wheel, scratch card, pick a gift, and seasonal calendar. Spin a prize wheel to reveal a discount or reward. Scratch away the cover to reveal a hidden reward. The game is the way an offer is revealed; prize configuration and the signup flow determine what the visitor actually receives. Experiments

Wisepops’s testing tools include A/B testing. Run popup experiments with visitor allocation and optional automatic rollout of the winning variant. Popup testing, email testing and automation experiments are separate capabilities. A useful comparison also considers traffic allocation, how a winner is selected and whether a no-popup control is available to measure the effect of showing a campaign at all.

Email & SMS

Wisepops’s messaging channels include web push. Web push is part of the advertised onsite product suite. Capturing an address in a popup and sending a marketing campaign are separate jobs. Team & sites

Wisepops documents invited collaborators and editor access restricted to selected sites. This is useful when different people maintain different brands or when a service team works alongside an internal marketing team.

Account permissions and the managed-service proposal are separate parts of the decision. Confirm which sites, collaborators and responsibilities the agreement covers. A broad feature bundle does not by itself establish an unlimited site allowance or a particular approval workflow between your team and the service provider.

Support

Wisepops’ managed offer includes a strategist and campaign production. That is an ongoing service relationship, not simply a chat-support channel attached to a low-cost editor. Confirm deliverables, turnaround expectations and who handles urgent changes in the proposal. We have not measured response times, and the published starting offer does not establish a contractual response-time guarantee.

Editor & workflow

Wisepops’s editing tools include campaign drafts. Prepare an experiment as a draft, then publish it. Editing, saving a draft and activating a campaign are separate stages of the workflow. Consider how changes are prepared and reviewed before visitors see them. An AI writing assistant also has a narrower role than an assistant that can change layout or targeting.

Data & reporting

Wisepops’s data and reporting tools include revenue goals. Experiments support order rate and revenue per visitor as success metrics. Detailed results have plan restrictions. Use the reporting workflow to connect captured responses with the decisions you need to make. Downloading leads, scheduling reports and attributing revenue are different capabilities; a contact export alone does not establish an analytics dashboard or revenue measurement.

Integrations

Connections cover contact delivery, SMS capture, store data and analytics. Zapier is the documented route for Google Sheets; it should not be presented as a native spreadsheet connector. The API and webhooks cover custom workflows, with provider-specific actions and service scope to confirm for the proposed deployment.

A listed integration does not establish access on every tier. Google Sheets is documented as a Zapier workflow, not a native spreadsheet connector. Our integration guide explains the connection types and workflows. For store-specific features, see our Shopify popup apps overview.

Works with Shopify

Wisepops’s Shopify coverage includes storefront installation and native app. Installation, customer data, discounts and cart actions are separate capabilities. A Shopify listing alone does not establish support for all of them, and features supplied by a separate app need to be considered with that app’s access and pricing.

Capability score

The capability score brings together the confirmed features in the sections above, excluding pricing. Each metric belongs to one section, and a feature’s score includes its subfeatures. The breakdown shows how much each area contributes and where points remain unearned. It measures feature coverage, rather than conversion performance or value for money.

AI agent readiness

Agent readiness looks at a complete working process: understanding a campaign, creating or changing it, operating it, reading results and controlling access. This assessment adds context to the Developer section without awarding extra points. In-editor AI assistance and an external agent’s ability to operate the account are considered separately.

Exports results and connects form data

Wisepops documents an API for campaign metrics and contacts, plus webhooks for form responses. The inspected editor exposes custom-event triggers and JavaScript callbacks. External creation, editing and publishing of campaigns are not established.

Agent taskWhat the agent can do
UnderstandPartialThe API lists campaigns and activation state; full design and targeting configuration are not documented in this reference.
CreateUnconfirmedThe inspected editor supports manual campaign construction. External design generation or campaign creation was not established.
OperatePartialCustom-event triggers and callbacks support prepared site workflows. Account-level editing and publishing through the API were not established.
MeasureSupportedThe documented API exposes display, click and email counts and exports collected contacts. These calls have not been executed.
Work safelyPartialAPI keys are website-specific. The UI offers Admin and site-limited Editor roles; agent-specific approvals and rollback were not established.

The inspected legacy account had an expired trial: editor and settings remained accessible, but live campaign delivery was blocked. API documentation lists Pro or above and 1,500 calls per 30 days; confirm how these legacy plan names map to the current offer.

What one display or signup could cost

A current new-customer quote was not established in the expired legacy trial account. We have not published a per-display or per-signup estimate for Wisepops. Its advertised subscription and the conditions attached to it need to be resolved before those figures can support a buying decision.

Once the fee and allowance are clear, divide the subscription by actual campaign outcomes. Our comparison scenario uses 1,000 popup displays and 20 valid email signups, an assumed 2% signup rate. A quota of visitors, pageviews or leads is not automatically equivalent to 1,000 visible popups.

No reliable estimate

A current new-customer quote was not established in the expired legacy trial account.

Wisepops alternatives: which should you choose?

Businesses wanting a team to help plan and run onsite campaigns, rather than buying only an editor for their own staff. The published starting price is $599/month and the final scope needs a quote. It is a large commitment for occasional notices.

Compare Justuno and OptiMonk against that requirement. The cards below explain where each is a better fit. Match the billing unit, required features and site or account limits before comparing headline prices; the cheapest subscription does not always cover the same work.

Wisepops vs Justuno

Wisepops’ managed offer starts at $599/month. Justuno offers Lite from $59 for work you operate yourself and Done-For-You from $299. Service deliverables and traffic limits differ.

Choose Justuno
For a smaller workflow project or a team that can operate Lite itself.
Choose Wisepops
When strategy and recurring campaign production are part of the brief; compare a written service scope, not just starting fees.

Wisepops vs OptiMonk

OptiMonk Essential starts at $29/month and leaves campaign operation with your team. Wisepops includes managed work in a much larger starting subscription.

Choose OptiMonk
When an in-house marketer can build, target and maintain campaigns.
Choose Wisepops
When the missing resource is ongoing campaign strategy and production, not access to an editor.

About this review

We inspected Wisepops’ editor, targeting, field menus, integration catalogue and user roles in a legacy account with an expired trial. A test field was added without saving or submitting. API capabilities come from official documentation; live delivery and external API calls were not tested. Dates beside sources indicate when the corresponding evidence was checked; publication does not imply that every source was rechecked that day.

“Documented” means the provider describes the capability. A named plan is shown only where we recorded tier evidence. “Not confirmed” means the evidence is insufficient, not that the feature is absent. Paid add-ons and higher-tier restrictions are stated separately. Conflicting billing information prevents a unit-cost estimate.

Recommendations are editorial judgments about fit and cost. Sources are linked next to the claims they support, and every calculation uses the assumptions above.
