Getsitecontrol vs Sleeknote.
What happens after the popup?

Both build targeted popups. Getsitecontrol adds native email, feedback forms and an AI editor; Sleeknote brings varied game campaigns, unlimited domains and read-only MCP reporting. We compare the work each can do.

What do you need your website to do next?

Getsitecontrol and Sleeknote overlap on targeted popups, multi-step campaigns, prize games and A/B tests. The choice becomes clearer when you follow the visitor beyond the first screen: do you want to collect feedback, recommend a product, run a longer game or send the next email?

Getsitecontrol combines widgets, contacts and email in one service. Sleeknote centres on onsite campaigns that feed an existing marketing stack, with a larger game catalogue and unlimited domains. Their AI capabilities also serve different jobs: editing an open widget versus reading campaign performance through MCP.

The fourteen capability sections below follow the same structure as the tool reviews. Pricing adds a fifteenth round and contributes to this comparison only. The scores are relative to these two products. After the overall result, the priority table gives more weight to the work that matters to you.

How the comparison works

15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 194 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.

Formats & content

Both support mobile editing and multi-step campaigns. Getsitecontrol also has a clear workflow for standalone notices; Sleeknote’s separate mobile setup is useful when the small-screen campaign should behave differently. Getsitecontrol builds modal popups, slide-ins, bars, panels, fullscreen widgets and inline forms. Groups and nested elements control the layout, with separate desktop and mobile styles. A widget can be a plain announcement with no form, or a sequence of form pages with a teaser.

Sleeknote separates desktop and mobile campaign designs and display settings. Multi-step campaigns combine form and success steps, with a teaser as another entry point. On mobile, enabling the teaser replaces the usual triggers, so the opening experience needs its own decision.

Forms

Getsitecontrol offers the broader feedback toolkit, especially ratings and conditional form paths. Sleeknote’s outcome quizzes suit guided product discovery and preference collection alongside signup campaigns. Getsitecontrol collects email, phone, text, single-choice and multiple-choice answers. It adds star, NPS, emoji and binary ratings, hidden values and consent checkboxes. Conditional fields and page branching tailor the next question to an earlier answer. Double opt-in verifies email ownership, while reCAPTCHA screens suspicious submissions.

Sleeknote has phone and SMS elements, short and long text fields, radios, dropdowns, answer buttons and consent checkboxes. Campaigns can span several steps. Its paid Quiz format maps combinations of answers to personalised outcomes and sends the answer values to an email platform or CSV. Phone fields support format checks and accepted-country restrictions.

Gamification

Getsitecontrol covers compact reward interactions. Sleeknote has more formats for a campaign that unfolds over questions, lessons or dates. Games require Sleeknote’s additional package. Getsitecontrol offers a prize wheel, a scratch card and a tap-to-reveal card. Prize settings include codes and relative weights, with replay controls. The wheel adds spin duration and a pause after spinning; the scratch card sets how much of the cover must be removed.

Sleeknote’s Gamification package includes wheels, scratch cards, seasonal calendars, quizzes and Learn to Earn. Wheel prizes have relative probabilities and configurable losing outcomes. Calendar doors have their own dates and content. Learn to Earn combines lessons, questions and staged rewards, with coupon lists for individual lessons.

Targeting

Both cover the everyday timing and audience rules. Sleeknote adds an explicit campaign-order control; Getsitecontrol brings Shopify cart conditions into the same targeting workflow. Getsitecontrol combines page, device, location, referral and visitor conditions, including Shopify cart data. Widgets can open after a delay, on scroll or on exit intent. Repeat-display settings respond to a view, closure or action; schedules use dates, hours and weekdays. Sleeknote combines page and device filters with location, referral, UTM, cookies and new-visitor rules. Triggers include time, scroll, exit intent, click and SiteData. Per-campaign limits, a domain-level impression limit and Campaign order coordinate several campaigns.

Experiments

Both compare popup variants. Sleeknote exposes traffic allocation between the two campaigns; Getsitecontrol reports individual widget actions. Keep automatic email winner selection separate from the popup comparison. Getsitecontrol Pro runs widget A/B tests with random visitor assignment and reports views, actions and click-through rate for each variant. Tests end manually. Its separate email-broadcast testing can select a winning email, which does not establish an automatic winner for popup tests. Sleeknote includes popup split testing in Core. A test compares two campaigns with traffic allocation starting at 50/50. Saving a test and activating it are separate actions, so the setup can be reviewed before it starts.

Email & SMS

Getsitecontrol fits a requirement to manage popups and email in one service. Sleeknote fits an existing email stack where the popup tool’s job ends at a well-mapped handoff. Getsitecontrol has its own email editor, broadcasts, contact segments and automations. A form submission can start a welcome sequence; workflows can add delays, apply conditions and respond to contact or store events. Email sends are billed as credits separately from widget views. Sleeknote’s documented workflow sends captured leads and their answers to a connected email platform. That platform handles the welcome email, subsequent messages and its own sending bill. Native email sending is unconfirmed in this comparison.

Team & sites

Getsitecontrol provides detailed permissions for different kinds of work. Sleeknote’s unlimited-domain subscription is attractive for several sites, with a clear owner-only billing boundary. Getsitecontrol assigns None, View, Edit or Full access separately to widgets, emails and contacts on each site. Edit allows drafting; Full adds actions such as activation, sending or exports. Account admins can manage billing, sites and users, while only the owner can delete the account. Sites have separate subscriptions. Sleeknote supports additional users and super users, with billing restricted to the main owner. Core includes unlimited domains and account settings provide site profiles. The subscription scales with traffic rather than adding a base fee for every domain.

Data & reporting

Both report campaign performance and export captured data. Sleeknote adds purchase and revenue measurement to this comparison, plus external access for analysing the results. Getsitecontrol reports widget views, actions and click-through rates, with breakdowns by page, traffic source, country and device. Responses and contacts can be exported. Email campaigns have their own delivery and engagement reporting.

Sleeknote reports views, leads and conversion rates with device, source and location breakdowns. Its Shopify connection adds purchase and revenue tracking. Lead and quiz data can be downloaded, and the read-only MCP makes campaign and split-test results available to an external assistant.

Integrations

Both can feed an existing email or CRM service. Getsitecontrol also lets the follow-up stay in the same product; Sleeknote’s custom endpoint controls are useful when a direct connector is not the right route. Getsitecontrol connects forms to email services, CRM destinations, Google Sheets, Zapier and analytics. Field mapping passes form, system and static values to the destination. Webhooks provide another route for submissions, and its own contact list can power native email campaigns.

Sleeknote connects to email platforms including Klaviyo, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign, plus HubSpot and Salesforce, Google Analytics, Segment and Zapier. Custom Integration sends submissions through POST, JSON POST or GET, with Basic Authentication available. Quiz fields can carry destination names and answer values.

Shopify

Getsitecontrol is useful when the widget should act on the cart and the same service should follow up by email. Sleeknote combines subscriber capture with recommendations and purchase measurement. Check the specific Shopify app, not just the vendor name. Getsitecontrol uses Shopify cart and customer parameters in targeting, and widget buttons can add a product to the cart or apply a discount. The main GSC Email Marketing + Popups app also connects store events to email workflows. The separate GSC Popup, Email Pop Up app carries the Built for Shopify badge and supports Shopify Flow; neither earns points for Getsitecontrol. Sleeknote has a native Shopify app that sends subscribers to Shopify and supplies purchase and revenue tracking. Shopify also appears among its product-recommendation connections. Coupon lists distribute codes to visitors, including as game rewards.

Pricing

Getsitecontrol’s free allowance and per-site plans suit a small number of sites. Sleeknote includes several domains in one subscription; budget separately for its game package and your email provider. The pricing table assumes one widget display per pageview for Getsitecontrol. Sleeknote’s euro prices are converted at €1 = $1.1225, the ECB reference rate for October 19, 2026. The rate is fixed for this comparison, not a billing quote.

Getsitecontrol Free includes 10,000 widget views per month. Pro costs $19 per month per site for 100,000 views; Pro Max costs $29 for unlimited views. Email credits are separate, so a popup-only bill and a popup-plus-email bill are different calculations.

Sleeknote’s current pricing page lists Core at €62 per month for up to 25,000 visitors, or €85 with Gamification. The 50,000-visitor bracket is €74 for Core. Annual billing has a lower monthly equivalent and requires an annual commitment. All these plans include unlimited domains.

What matters most to you?

Let’s put your priorities first

First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

These scores are relative to Getsitecontrol and Sleeknote in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.

The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.

  2. One shared pool of 100 points

The 15 rounds cover 194 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.

  3. How features earn points

If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.

  4. How prices earn points

Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.

  5. Which plans count

Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.

  6. How your priorities change the score

A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
