Justuno vs Claspo.
A shopper workflow or a sequence of widgets?

Compare Justuno and Claspo for workflow enrolment, timed campaigns, signup events, field mapping and production costs.

What do you need your website to do next?

A shopper closes a discount invitation on a product page and adds the product to the cart two minutes later. An offer calendar might simply show the next eligible widget. A shopper workflow might instead wait, inspect the cart, skip the discount and update a profile.

Justuno is worth the extra planning when those steps belong to one workflow with rules for re-entry. Claspo suits a team coordinating competing widgets and sending the information each one collected. The same distinction carries into Iterable: an event that should start a journey and a field describing a shopper are different pieces of data.

How the comparison works

15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.

Targeting

A dismissed promotion and an already purchased product should lead to different outcomes. Sketch both routes in Justuno. In Claspo, decide whether another eligible widget should wait or be suppressed for the session. Justuno can use cart and purchase conditions to govern workflow entry, suppression and re-entry. Claspo can queue eligible widgets or suppress an invitation for the session when another campaign takes precedence.

Integrations

Justuno documents a subscription event named justuno for email-identified Iterable projects. A project that drops unknown events may need that event registered. With Claspo, map required inputs and any fixed source value into the intended project. Justuno integrations can sync at a specific workflow step. The chosen action determines which record or event the destination receives. Claspo can combine a visitor’s answers with static campaign values on connectors that expose both kinds of field. Webhooks provide a configurable delivery route.

IntegrationsJustunoClaspo
Email+0.13

ActiveCampaign, Bluecore, Braze, Brevo, Eloqua, Listrak, Marketo, Omnisend, Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Use a connected email platform as the destination for leads collected in Justuno campaigns. Provider-specific settings determine the receiving list and which profile values the workflow can transfer. Dotdigital: Connect the Dotdigital app in Justuno and configure the workflow’s lists and profile properties. Justuno documents single or double opt-in and separate handling for email and SMS. Its connector cannot resubscribe a previously opted-out SMS number. Iterable: Use a server-side Iterable API key for a project configured to identify users by email. Justuno sends a subscription event named justuno. In projects that drop unrecognized events, register the event and any necessary fields before relying on it to start a journey. Sendlane: Generate a Sendlane API token and connect it to the Justuno promotion. Prepare the destination custom fields before collecting answers. Sendlane’s instructions call out account enablement for single opt-in and SMS consent, plus an active SMS plan for text marketing. SmartrMail: Authenticate SmartrMail with its API token, edit the Justuno workflow and enable Sync to App on the design step containing the form. Select the list for email signups and configure SMS subscribers if the design collects mobile numbers. Save and publish the promotion. Constant Contact: Connect the Constant Contact app by signing in, then map the Justuno properties used in the workflow. Create any custom fields in Constant Contact first so Justuno can retrieve them. This lets a captured answer travel with the subscriber rather than remaining in Justuno. GetResponse: Connect GetResponse from the promotion’s email-provider settings using an API key. Select the list and tags, then load the additional GetResponse fields needed in the form. Justuno documents a hidden Cycle Day field for specifying where a new subscriber enters an autoresponder. SendGrid: Connect the SendGrid app with an API key and configure the properties in the Justuno workflow. Match custom fields with their exact SendGrid names, including case. The documented workflow exports contact data; a successful API connection by itself does not trigger a newsletter. Klaviyo: Connect Klaviyo under account Apps, then add it to the workflow and choose the list or group. The workflow determines where captured subscriber data goes. Mailchimp: Connect Mailchimp under account Apps, then add it to the workflow and choose the list or group. The workflow determines where captured subscriber data goes.

+0.13

Kit: Use Claspo’s webhook integration to send submissions to a Kit form or sequence. The destination ID and request body specify where the subscriber goes and which fields are included. ActiveCampaign, MailBluster, MailerLite, MailWizz, Mautic, Newsletter2Go, Omnisend, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, Acumbamail, VBOUT, Act-On, Userlist: Send widget submissions to an email platform through its documented integration route. Field mapping can include form answers and submission context where the receiving connector supports those values. beehiiv: Connect a beehiiv API key in the widget integration and select the publication. Map the required subscriber data and use static fields for information shared by everyone submitting that widget. Create the receiving fields in the correct publication first. CleverReach: Connect CleverReach at the widget’s integration step and choose the receiving group. Map the required email field and any additional supported inputs; fixed values can identify the particular signup offer. Inspect both recipient activation and field values in CleverReach. Dotdigital: Connect the widget to Dotdigital, choose the address book and map the contact inputs. System values such as site language and fixed campaign labels can go into separate Dotdigital fields. An address book membership alone does not preserve a visitor’s answer. Iterable: Connect the widget to Iterable, choose the subscriber list and map email plus any supported contact fields. Fixed field values can identify the campaign or language. Check the type of each receiving field when extending an existing Iterable profile. SendPulse: Choose SendPulse in the widget’s integrations, authorize with the account credentials and select the mailing list. Map each input to a SendPulse field and add static values if needed. A fixed language value is useful for a form published on only one language version of a site. SendFox: Claspo documents a webhook setup for SendFox. Configure the contacts endpoint and authorize the request with the SendFox token; map the required email and supported optional parameters in the request. If the signup belongs to one list, verify that membership after submitting. Constant Contact: Authorize Constant Contact on the widget’s Integrations step and select a list. Email is required. Map contact inputs such as name or phone, optionally add browser or language data, and use a static value when every signup should carry the same offer name. GetResponse: Connect the API key, choose the mailing list and map the required email address. Claspo can also transfer widget answers, system fields and fixed values. Its guide points to the list’s API subscription settings for signups that require a confirmation message. SendGrid: Create a restricted SendGrid key with Marketing access as specified in Claspo’s guide, then choose the list in the widget. Map email and any other supported form fields; static values can label the source. This lets a team identify the popup offer on the marketing contact. Klaviyo: Select a list and map each widget’s fields, including custom properties. Email and SMS subscription requests run separately and follow the list’s opt-in settings. Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp, choose an audience and map fields; email is required. Select existing groups, add fixed values and enable opt-in confirmation as needed. A Test button checks the setup.

Attentive, Emotive, Listrak SMS, Postscript: SMS destinations are separate from collecting a phone number. No messages were sent.

CRM+0.13

ActiveCampaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud: The CRM connection handles customer and profile data for marketing workflows. Supported record types and field mappings depend on the provider, rather than on the form controls alone. HubSpot: A Super Admin connects HubSpot; the workflow sends mapped properties to a static list. Sync is one-way, from Justuno. Set contacts’ marketing status in HubSpot before emailing them.

+0.13

SalesDrive, FluentCRM: Route form submissions into your CRM. Pipedrive: Connect the Pipedrive API token, include Name in the widget and map the supported inputs. You can also create a deal linked to the contact and use a selected component as the deal title. Claspo’s guide excludes transfer to custom Pipedrive fields. Zoho CRM: Authorize Claspo, choose the Zoho CRM module in the widget integration and map the inputs. The guide names Leads and Contacts and requires last_name. It also supports mapping system values and supplying a fixed field such as the enquiry source. Salesforce: Authorize Salesforce from the widget’s integrations and configure the destination and mapped fields. Claspo requires last name in its setup. Map a real surname field for a sales enquiry, then check that the remaining contact and campaign values reach the expected CRM fields. HubSpot: Select a static list and map widget, system or fixed values to contact fields. Email is required; contacts use single opt-in. Active lists are not supported.

What matters most to you?

Let’s put your priorities first

First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works

These scores are relative to Justuno and Claspo in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.

  1. Relative scores, not universal ratings

The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.

  2. One shared pool of 100 points

The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.

  3. How features earn points

If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.

  4. How prices earn points

Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.

  5. Which plans count

Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.

  6. How your priorities change the score

A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
