Justuno vs Wisepops.
Who runs the next promotion?
Compare Justuno and Wisepops for managed campaign work, Shopify workflows, onsite feeds, suppression, experiments and team permissions.
What do you need your website to do next?
An ecommerce team wants a weekend launch, a reminder for returning shoppers and an announcement customers can revisit. The merchant also needs someone to make the weekend change if stock sells out. A procurement sheet listing only popup formats leaves the most consequential responsibility blank.
Justuno separates self-service workflows from a Done-For-You service. Wisepops offers a wider set of onsite placements and a managed proposal. Compare the software for the shopping experience and the service for the work the store is handing over. A store doing all production internally can price Justuno Lite separately. For Wisepops, establish which publishing and reporting access the quoted service includes before comparing costs.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Compare the member of the audience who dismisses the first message but comes back tomorrow. A persistent feed and a re-enrolment rule let that person recover the offer in different ways. Justuno can present a promotion, capture form or recommendation within a shopper workflow. Compare that timed interaction with a Wisepops feed item the customer can revisit later. Wisepops combines onsite campaigns with controls for message content and display. The table distinguishes the individual formats and content features available for a campaign.

Forms
Justuno drafts can collect phone, email, text and choices across several screens, including consent controls. The shopper leaving after email is a separate case from the shopper submitting both channels. Wisepops includes email, phone, short and long text, radios, dropdowns, checkboxes and hidden fields. Branch blocks send different answers to different next steps. An email field can block previously collected addresses, and NPS collection is documented.

Justuno can use profile answers and quiz choices within a workflow. If a research team needs an anonymous dataset rather than a shopping branch, check the actual response record and its export. Gamification
The trial included a spin-wheel design and configurable reward steps. Test the winning and losing journeys with the sender and store before making commitments to shoppers. Wisepops documents wheels, scratch cards, pick-a-box games and seasonal calendars. These broaden the types of promotion beyond a single spin-to-win interaction. Format availability does not establish the same probability and losing-outcome controls for every game.

Targeting
Justuno combines cart and purchase conditions with enrolment, suppression and re-enrolment. The question for a returning customer is which campaign wins when two workflows are eligible. Wisepops exposes landing, delay, exit, scroll, click, hover and custom-event triggers. Audience controls include regions, traffic source, UTM values, visit history and language. Repeat rules can stop a campaign after signup, click, closure or a display count.

Experiments
Lite lists A/B and multivariate testing. A workflow can compare paths, so specify whether the primary outcome is a capture step, cart action or purchase. Wisepops lets an experiment allocate traffic, select a success metric and automatically roll out a winning variant. A no-campaign control is documented for specified newer plans, and detailed results have plan restrictions. Confirm those controls in the service proposal.

Email & SMS
A Justuno workflow can update profiles or sync data to the merchant’s messaging service. The quote for onsite work still needs the separate system responsible for the welcome message. Wisepops’ confirmed email workflow sends captured contacts to an email platform. Its onsite feeds and web push are separate channels and do not establish native email broadcasts or welcome sequences.

Team & sites
Have the designer prepare a correction, the publisher approve it and an analyst read the report. These are three tasks even when the merchant buys all three from one provider. Lite lists ten seats. Creator, Publisher and Full Access have different release and administrative rights. Compare that division with the access needed by a merchant and an outside production team. Wisepops offers Admin access to websites, users and billing, and Editor access limited to selected sites. This distinguishes account administration from work on individual websites. The number of sites and the service responsibilities still belong in the proposal.

Developer
Justuno documents an analytics API. Smart Timing and AI-labelled recommendations are onsite features. They do not establish that an external assistant can publish a workflow. Wisepops’ API reads campaign identifiers, activation state and performance counts, and exports contacts. JavaScript callbacks connect popup events to site logic. Webhooks deliver email, phone and survey responses with retries.

Support
Lite includes product support; Done-For-You adds ongoing implementation and service channels. Ask which party handles off-hours changes when comparing it with a Wisepops managed scope. Wisepops includes strategy and campaign production in its managed offering. Agree deliverables, turnaround and who handles urgent changes with that team. The service offer alone does not confirm a particular live-chat entitlement for the shared support criterion.

Editor & workflow
The workflow builder can wait, branch, show a design and update a profile. A second promotion can be held back after a visitor enters the first. Verify the rules on a connected test store before scheduling a release. Wisepops lets you prepare an experiment as a draft before publishing it. Draft preparation and activation are separate steps.

Data & reporting
Separate workflow progress, subscriber records and actual store orders. Justuno’s documented analytics access is useful for reporting; revenue totals still require a consistent attribution window. Wisepops’ API returns campaign counts and exports contacts. Experiments support order rate and revenue per visitor, with plan-dependent detailed results. Onsite recommendations and campaign service work should be evaluated against agreed outcomes.

Integrations
Justuno workflows can sync profile data to connected services. For a custom HTTP destination, confirm access for the exact account. A connector category alone does not establish successful delivery. Wisepops connects to Klaviyo and other email providers, including Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and Brevo, as well as CRMs and SMS platforms. Analytics, Zapier and webhooks support additional routes. Google Sheets is a Zapier workflow here, not a native spreadsheet connector.
| Integrations | Justuno | Wisepops |
|---|---|---|
| +0.13 ActiveCampaign, Bluecore, Braze, Brevo, Eloqua, Listrak, Marketo, Omnisend, Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Use a connected email platform as the destination for leads collected in Justuno campaigns. Provider-specific settings determine the receiving list and which profile values the workflow can transfer. Dotdigital: Connect the Dotdigital app in Justuno and configure the workflow’s lists and profile properties. Justuno documents single or double opt-in and separate handling for email and SMS. Its connector cannot resubscribe a previously opted-out SMS number. Iterable: Use a server-side Iterable API key for a project configured to identify users by email. Justuno sends a subscription event named justuno. In projects that drop unrecognized events, register the event and any necessary fields before relying on it to start a journey. Sendlane: Generate a Sendlane API token and connect it to the Justuno promotion. Prepare the destination custom fields before collecting answers. Sendlane’s instructions call out account enablement for single opt-in and SMS consent, plus an active SMS plan for text marketing. SmartrMail: Authenticate SmartrMail with its API token, edit the Justuno workflow and enable Sync to App on the design step containing the form. Select the list for email signups and configure SMS subscribers if the design collects mobile numbers. Save and publish the promotion. Constant Contact: Connect the Constant Contact app by signing in, then map the Justuno properties used in the workflow. Create any custom fields in Constant Contact first so Justuno can retrieve them. This lets a captured answer travel with the subscriber rather than remaining in Justuno. GetResponse: Connect GetResponse from the promotion’s email-provider settings using an API key. Select the list and tags, then load the additional GetResponse fields needed in the form. Justuno documents a hidden Cycle Day field for specifying where a new subscriber enters an autoresponder. SendGrid: Connect the SendGrid app with an API key and configure the properties in the Justuno workflow. Match custom fields with their exact SendGrid names, including case. The documented workflow exports contact data; a successful API connection by itself does not trigger a newsletter. Klaviyo: Connect Klaviyo under account Apps, then add it to the workflow and choose the list or group. The workflow determines where captured subscriber data goes. Mailchimp: Connect Mailchimp under account Apps, then add it to the workflow and choose the list or group. The workflow determines where captured subscriber data goes. | +0.13 Brevo: Connect with an API key and choose the receiving list. Optional double opt-in uses a Brevo email-template ID and confirmation redirect URL; category fields require their option IDs. ActiveCampaign: Connect with the API URL and key, select a list and map additional fields. Email, phone and names map automatically; entered tag names are reused or created in ActiveCampaign. Drip: Authorize the Drip account from the popup’s email-form settings, then select the receiving destination. The setup guide documents signup delivery, without detailing custom-event or tag controls. Omnisend, Braze, Emarsys, Ometria, Splio, Actito, Acoustic, Marigold Engage, Kit, Voyado: Connect signup forms to an external email platform and send new leads there for follow-up. The chosen provider determines the available destination settings and supported contact fields. Iterable: Create an Iterable key and choose the US or EU endpoint for the connected project in Wisepops. Select the destination list on the popup’s signup form. Use a contact from that project to verify membership; a list of the same name in another project is a different destination. Dotdigital: Authorize the form sync with Dotdigital and select the receiving list. Email, phone and names have default mappings; additional answers use the form’s field mapping. Wisepops says an email signup can resubscribe a past unsubscriber and offers an email double opt-in setting. Customer.io: Provide the workspace’s tracking credentials and App API key in the form’s Sync tab. Wisepops exposes an email identifier option for compatible workspaces and documents IP allowlisting for restricted keys. Check the resulting person and attributes in the intended workspace. Mailjet: Mailjet documents a direct Wisepops connection as well as a Zapier option. For the direct route, enter Mailjet credentials in the form sync, select the list and map any extra fields. Use the bridge only when its extra routing serves a specific purpose. SmartrMail: Start in SmartrMail on the subscriber list that should receive signups. Choose the Wisepops integration and enter the Wisepops API key and popup ID. A cloned popup has its own ID; check that the intended form is linked to the list. Sendlane: Connect Sendlane from the email form’s Sync tab and choose the list. Wisepops describes confirmation for contacts sent to Sendlane. Check the contact after clicking the confirmation link when reconciling popup conversions with active subscribers. GetResponse: Paste the GetResponse API key into the signup form’s sync settings and pick a list. Wisepops documents mapping a hidden form field to Day of Cycle. Populate it deliberately when the first lesson or welcome offer must arrive on a particular day. Constant Contact: Connect Constant Contact in the popup’s email form and choose the subscriber list in the sync settings. This sends new signups to that list. Wisepops explicitly excludes Constant Contact PRO accounts running on Retention Science. SendGrid: Paste a SendGrid key into the signup form’s sync settings, then choose the receiving list. Wisepops’ instructions request a full-access key. Check whether that permission fits your account policy before choosing this route for a straightforward email list. Klaviyo: Select a list and map standard or custom profile properties. List settings control double opt-in; leads carry WisePops as their source. Notification signup uses a separate API-key setup. Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp in Sync and select an audience. Map required fields and groups, and enter tag names exactly. Delivery runs from the live website, not the editor preview. | |
| SMS | +0.13 Attentive, Emotive, Listrak SMS, Postscript: SMS destinations are separate from collecting a phone number. No messages were sent. | +0.13 Attentive, Postscript, Emotive, Yotpo: Connect subscriber capture to SMS marketing. |
| CRM | +0.13 ActiveCampaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud: The CRM connection handles customer and profile data for marketing workflows. Supported record types and field mappings depend on the provider, rather than on the form controls alone. HubSpot: A Super Admin connects HubSpot; the workflow sends mapped properties to a static list. Sync is one-way, from Justuno. Set contacts’ marketing status in HubSpot before emailing them. | +0.13 Keap: In the signup form’s Sync tab, choose Keap, sign in and grant access. Back in Wisepops, select the tags to apply to synced contacts. If adding a tag starts a sequence, test both first-time and existing contacts that already carry it. Pipedrive: Open the signup form’s Sync settings, choose Pipedrive and approve installation in the CRM account. The published instructions establish account authorization for signup delivery. They do not specify a deal stage or a mapping for custom qualification fields. Salesforce: Connect an API-enabled Salesforce CRM account, then configure the sync on the form. Email, phone and names have default mappings, and you can map custom fields. If a visitor omits their last name, Wisepops documents sending a hyphen; its CSV export includes the Salesforce response for troubleshooting. HubSpot: Authorize HubSpot in Sync and choose a static list. Leads arrive as contacts without a lifecycle stage; set one through a hidden field mapped to Lifecycle Stage. |

Pricing
Remove production work from both quotes, then add back the same launch calendar. This exposes the cost of traffic separately from the cost of hiring someone to operate it. Justuno Lite starts at $59 monthly for 10,000 unique visitors and five live workflows. Done-For-You starts at $299 and includes ongoing services. Get a Wisepops quote for the same traffic and production scope. Wisepops advertises a managed offer from $599 a month. The final scope and fee need a proposal. That starting figure is not a confirmed price for each traffic, domain and email requirement in our scenario table.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Justuno and Wisepops in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
