Personizely vs Adoric.
Testing across stores and client sites
Compare Personizely and Adoric Classic for multi-site campaigns, visitor targeting, experiments and agency costs, with separate Shopify edition details.
What do you need your website to do next?
An agency rolling one promotion out to four sites has two budgets to consider: traffic and the people operating the campaign. Adoric Classic Essentials lists four domains and one million pageviews. Personizely Premium lists ten sites at the reviewed 10,000-visitor tier. Four client sites fit both examples, but the allowances describe very different workloads.
This comparison scores the Adoric Classic dossier. Adoric also sells a Shopify popup app billed by order volume. A merchant evaluating that edition should use its own rules and prices rather than treating it as an inexpensive way to buy Classic.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Personizely offers popups, compact callouts, bars and embedded widgets. A coupon can be copied with a click, and text can use a visitor property with a fallback for anonymous traffic. Adoric Classic supports promotional popups, notification bars, teasers and carousels. Dynamic text can insert a visitor’s name or city into an offer.

Forms
A widget can collect a phone number, free text, single or multiple selections and separate consent choices. Responses are stored on visitor profiles, where a later submission may update a previous answer. Classic supports multi-step campaigns and form handoff to connected providers. In the separate Shopify editor the field picker includes phone, email, hidden values and choice fields.

Surveys
Personizely supports NPS survey popups and preference questions. The widget contact export includes respondents who supplied an email or phone. It can therefore contain fewer rows than an anonymous survey received. A campaign can collect preferences during signup. The Shopify editor offers radio buttons, checkboxes and dropdowns. A choice between product interests alone does not produce a satisfaction score.

Gamification
The prize wheel has weighted segments, retry and no-prize outcomes. Each segment can open a different reward step or start an automation. The Shopify Popups edition documents spin-to-win offers. Classic uses a different subscription and feature record, so a merchant buying the wheel should compare the Shopify offer directly.

Targeting
Adoric Classic can vary an invitation by country, device or traffic source. Personizely adds widget actions tied to Shopify customers and carts. For a multilingual publisher, country and page conditions may settle the choice before commerce operations matter. Rules cover URLs, subdomains, time windows and repeat exposure. A widget can open after inactivity or a hover, and stop appearing after a conversion. Classic combines URLs and queries with country, device, visit history and cookies. Delay, exit, scroll and element clicks can trigger the popup. Frequency rules control when the same person becomes eligible again.

Experiments
Personizely distinguishes Premium widget tests from other site tests. Adoric’s Classic plan summary and matrix disagree on Basic A/B access. That distinction can determine the budget for the first live comparison. Premium includes A/B testing of widgets. Essential includes other kinds of website tests, so access to a theme or URL test alone does not establish that a popup can be split-tested on that tier. Classic lists A/B testing, but its Basic feature matrix and Essentials summary disagree about the minimum plan. The separate Shopify product describes an even split with a manually chosen winner.

Email & SMS
A form can write contact and consent fields to a visitor profile and send the contact to a connected email platform. The welcome sequence depends on how that destination uses the fields. Classic hands collected contacts to an email provider. Selecting the destination list and fields determines what the provider can use in a welcome campaign.

Team & sites
The reviewed Premium offer includes ten websites. Each site has its own widgets, goals and campaigns, an important boundary when a team manages several storefronts. Classic Basic includes three domains and Essentials includes four. A domain allowance helps plan traffic across properties but does not specify which colleagues can publish to a client site.

Developer
An Adoric browser trigger can open an offer when a page event fires. Personizely’s REST and MCP interfaces serve a different operator: someone checking results or pausing an existing campaign from outside the dashboard. REST and MCP can read experiment results and start or stop an existing widget. OAuth permits read-only access. An account API key also permits start and stop across websites, so the credential type matters for a reporting integration. A named JavaScript event can trigger an existing campaign. Classic forms also support outbound requests to a configured endpoint with field mapping and an optional authorization header.

Support
Essential and Premium both include email and chat support. The reason to upgrade for a popup program is usually the experiment or personalization controls. Classic lists email support on Basic and Essentials. Its Klaviyo setup guide directs customers to the support team for help connecting that provider.

Editor & workflow
The editor lets a team compose a widget from steps and elements, then attach conditional actions to visitor interactions. Existing widgets can be operated externally, while their design is edited in the dashboard. Classic provides a campaign editor with separate mobile and tablet variations. Adoric’s published prompt-based builder guide is for Bundles, a separate product from the popup editor.

Data & reporting
A widget report can distinguish views, submissions, contacts and revenue. A returning contact who submits an updated answer is a submission but does not become a new contact a second time. Classic can track purchases following popup exposure as conversion goals. A merchant can compare the visitors who claimed an offer with the visitors who eventually bought.

Integrations
Form and survey answers can update profile fields. Widget automations can send a webhook or act on a connected marketing list when a particular visitor interaction occurs. Classic documents direct email and CRM connections, including list and field selection. A custom webhook can route a submission to a service outside the named catalogue.

Pricing
Premium costs $59 per month at the reviewed 10,000-visitor allowance and includes ten sites. Essential is $39 at that traffic level. Widget experiments are one reason to budget for Premium. Classic Basic lists $100 per month for 300,000 pageviews across three domains. Essentials lists $250 for one million pageviews across four. The Shopify edition has a separate free allowance of up to 20 orders per month.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Personizely and Adoric in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
