Personizely vs Claspo.
Remember the visitor or coordinate the offers?
Compare Personizely and Claspo for visitor profiles, survey data, widget frequency and handoff to the email platform.
What do you need your website to do next?
A kitchen retailer asks visitors whether they are shopping for themselves or buying gifts. The email team wants a preference it can segment tomorrow. The web team wants gift buyers to see different copy on their next visit. Meanwhile a delivery notice has to take precedence over both offers.
Personizely puts a captured answer on a visitor profile that can shape later messaging. Claspo can attach a campaign’s fixed context to the customer’s own answer on supported connections and coordinate several eligible widgets. For the kitchen shop, that means deciding whether “gifts” must change the next page a returning shopper sees, or whether sending “gifts” to the email list and giving the delivery notice priority is enough.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Personizely offers popups, compact callouts, bars and embedded widgets. A coupon can be copied with a click, and text can use a visitor property with a fallback for anonymous traffic. Claspo offers bars, popups and teasers that can reopen a widget after dismissal.

Forms
A widget can collect a phone number, free text, single or multiple selections and separate consent choices. Responses are stored on visitor profiles, where a later submission may update a previous answer. Claspo forms can span several screens, collect consent, accept choice and text answers, and carry hidden values.

Surveys
Count an anonymous answer in a research report even if it never produces a contact. Personizely’s contact export covers respondents with contact details. For a Claspo rating widget, decide where the score and any follow-up comment will be analysed. Personizely supports NPS survey popups and preference questions. The widget contact export includes respondents who supplied an email or phone. It can therefore contain fewer rows than an anonymous survey received. Claspo has separate rating and NPS components. For a survey with a written follow-up, check that the destination keeps the score and comment together.

Targeting
Eligibility alone will not settle what a shopper should see when three offers qualify. Compare Personizely’s profile conditions and repeat controls with Claspo’s queue and session suppression. Rules cover URLs, subdomains, time windows and repeat exposure. A widget can open after inactivity or a hover, and stop appearing after a conversion. Claspo can queue eligible widgets or suppress an invitation for the session when another campaign takes precedence.

Experiments
Premium includes A/B testing of widgets. Essential includes other kinds of website tests, so access to a theme or URL test alone does not establish that a popup can be split-tested on that tier. Claspo includes widget A/B testing on its free Shopify tier. The traffic allowance and branding terms still apply to the live experiment.

Email & SMS
A form can write contact and consent fields to a visitor profile and send the contact to a connected email platform. The welcome sequence depends on how that destination uses the fields. Claspo can send signup data to a connected email service, where the mailing team configures the welcome message.

Developer
REST and MCP can read experiment results and start or stop an existing widget. OAuth permits read-only access. An account API key also permits start and stop across websites, so the credential type matters for a reporting integration. Claspo’s browser API can open an existing widget from a page button. An outbound webhook can forward submitted data to another service.

Editor & workflow
The editor lets a team compose a widget from steps and elements, then attach conditional actions to visitor interactions. Existing widgets can be operated externally, while their design is edited in the dashboard. Claspo’s editor lets a marketer build a teaser, the widget it opens and the screens a visitor sees after responding.

Data & reporting
A widget report can distinguish views, submissions, contacts and revenue. A returning contact who submits an updated answer is a submission but does not become a new contact a second time. Claspo reports widget test performance. For a promotion, match that result to the store’s redemption records to see how many collected offers buyers used.

Integrations
For CleverReach, a Personizely email-link identifier serves a different job from a fixed value Claspo sends with a new signup. Test one visitor arriving from yesterday’s newsletter alongside a new reader joining today. Form and survey answers can update profile fields. Widget automations can send a webhook or act on a connected marketing list when a particular visitor interaction occurs. Claspo can combine a visitor’s answers with static campaign values on connectors that expose both kinds of field. Webhooks provide a configurable delivery route.
| Integrations | Personizely | Claspo |
|---|---|---|
| +0.13 Kit, Brevo, Omnisend, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, Sender, Ometria, Zoho Marketing Automation: Use a form automation to send widget subscribers to the connected email platform. Ontraport: Personizely lists Ontraport for subscribers acquired through its list-building widgets. Connect the destination and inspect the receiving contact after a form submission. Its public listing does not establish a campaign-enrolment action or a mapping for a particular custom field. CM Commerce: Personizely lists CM Commerce separately as a destination for email subscribers from its popups. Check the actual subscriber list in the commerce account. The vendor listing confirms list growth; supported custom fields and the authentication steps are unspecified. CleverReach: Authorize CleverReach under Settings → Integrations and add the list action to the widget’s subscription form. For recognizing a subscriber who clicks back to the site, Personizely also documents adding a subscriber identifier to mailing links. Check the form action and returning-visitor setup separately. Dotdigital: Connect Dotdigital in Personizely and map the contact fields used by the widget. For recognition on a later visit, Personizely documents adding the Dotdigital contact ID parameter to links in outbound email. A new signup and a click back from a mailing are separate exchanges. Moosend: Connect Moosend in Personizely, then assign the list to the widget’s subscription form. Personizely also documents identifying a returning subscriber from an email link. Sending a new address to a list and recognizing the same reader later require separate setup. SendPulse: Use the SendPulse API ID and secret in Personizely’s integration settings. Edit the widget form and choose the destination list for the subscription action. Authorizing the account and assigning that action to a form are separate steps. SmartrMail: Connect a SmartrMail API token and select the destination list in the widget’s subscription action. Personizely recommends a manually created list for popup signups, separate from the customer list populated by the ecommerce integration. Mailjet: Enter the API key and secret for the correct Mailjet account in Personizely. Assign the selected list to the widget form. Personizely notes that the list label it shows can come from the first part of the email associated with the list. Sendlane: Connect a Sendlane API token, map Personizely custom fields and assign an action to the widget form. The available actions include adding a contact to a list and unsubscribing from a list. Inspect the action on a copied form before publishing it. iContact: Personizely lists iContact as a destination for its list-building widgets. Assign the receiving integration to the signup form and verify the address on the intended iContact list. The provider’s listing does not spell out a mapping for additional fields. GetResponse: Authorize GetResponse from Personizely’s integration settings, then add the GetResponse list action to the subscription form in the widget. That action determines where the new email address lands. The guide confirms list delivery but leaves autoresponder cycle-day handling open. AWeber: Connect the AWeber account in Settings → Integrations, authorize access, then select the AWeber action and list on the widget’s subscription form. The documented outcome is a subscriber on that list. Verify tags separately if the first message depends on one. SendGrid: Connect SendGrid using an API key in Personizely settings, then configure the SendGrid action on the widget’s subscription form and choose the list. This sends signup addresses to Marketing Contacts. Check any additional profile attributes on the receiving contact. Constant Contact: Authorize Constant Contact in Settings → Integrations, then edit the subscription form in the widget and select its action and destination list. Authorization alone does not assign the list. The guide demonstrates adding new contacts and leaves extra field mapping unspecified. Campaign Monitor: Authorize Campaign Monitor in the account integration settings, then select the list in the widget’s subscription form action. New subscribers are added to that list. Confirm the selected client and list for each widget when an agency manages several accounts. Mailchimp: Add a Mailchimp form automation, select a list and map fields explicitly. Choose Add to list for single opt-in or Add with confirmation for double opt-in. Unmapped values are not sent. Klaviyo: Form automation sends standard fields and custom properties. Subscribe to list records consent; Add to list does not. Confirmation follows list settings, and SMS needs form consent. | +0.13 Kit: Use Claspo’s webhook integration to send submissions to a Kit form or sequence. The destination ID and request body specify where the subscriber goes and which fields are included. ActiveCampaign, MailBluster, MailerLite, MailWizz, Mautic, Newsletter2Go, Omnisend, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, Acumbamail, VBOUT, Act-On, Userlist: Send widget submissions to an email platform through its documented integration route. Field mapping can include form answers and submission context where the receiving connector supports those values. beehiiv: Connect a beehiiv API key in the widget integration and select the publication. Map the required subscriber data and use static fields for information shared by everyone submitting that widget. Create the receiving fields in the correct publication first. CleverReach: Connect CleverReach at the widget’s integration step and choose the receiving group. Map the required email field and any additional supported inputs; fixed values can identify the particular signup offer. Inspect both recipient activation and field values in CleverReach. Dotdigital: Connect the widget to Dotdigital, choose the address book and map the contact inputs. System values such as site language and fixed campaign labels can go into separate Dotdigital fields. An address book membership alone does not preserve a visitor’s answer. Iterable: Connect the widget to Iterable, choose the subscriber list and map email plus any supported contact fields. Fixed field values can identify the campaign or language. Check the type of each receiving field when extending an existing Iterable profile. SendPulse: Choose SendPulse in the widget’s integrations, authorize with the account credentials and select the mailing list. Map each input to a SendPulse field and add static values if needed. A fixed language value is useful for a form published on only one language version of a site. SendFox: Claspo documents a webhook setup for SendFox. Configure the contacts endpoint and authorize the request with the SendFox token; map the required email and supported optional parameters in the request. If the signup belongs to one list, verify that membership after submitting. Constant Contact: Authorize Constant Contact on the widget’s Integrations step and select a list. Email is required. Map contact inputs such as name or phone, optionally add browser or language data, and use a static value when every signup should carry the same offer name. GetResponse: Connect the API key, choose the mailing list and map the required email address. Claspo can also transfer widget answers, system fields and fixed values. Its guide points to the list’s API subscription settings for signups that require a confirmation message. SendGrid: Create a restricted SendGrid key with Marketing access as specified in Claspo’s guide, then choose the list in the widget. Map email and any other supported form fields; static values can label the source. This lets a team identify the popup offer on the marketing contact. Klaviyo: Select a list and map each widget’s fields, including custom properties. Email and SMS subscription requests run separately and follow the list’s opt-in settings. Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp, choose an audience and map fields; email is required. Select existing groups, add fixed values and enable opt-in confirmation as needed. A Test button checks the setup. | |

| CRM | +0.13 Postscript, Attentive, Yotpo: Route contacts and supported SMS subscriber information. HubSpot: Use the form’s Add/update contact automation, map properties and add a list action if needed. Unmapped fields are not sent; editor previews do not run automations. | +0.13 SalesDrive, FluentCRM: Route form submissions into your CRM. Pipedrive: Connect the Pipedrive API token, include Name in the widget and map the supported inputs. You can also create a deal linked to the contact and use a selected component as the deal title. Claspo’s guide excludes transfer to custom Pipedrive fields. Zoho CRM: Authorize Claspo, choose the Zoho CRM module in the widget integration and map the inputs. The guide names Leads and Contacts and requires last_name. It also supports mapping system values and supplying a fixed field such as the enquiry source. Salesforce: Authorize Salesforce from the widget’s integrations and configure the destination and mapped fields. Claspo requires last name in its setup. Map a real surname field for a sales enquiry, then check that the remaining contact and campaign values reach the expected CRM fields. HubSpot: Select a static list and map widget, system or fixed values to contact fields. Email is required; contacts use single opt-in. Active lists are not supported. |

Pricing
Premium costs $59 per month at the reviewed 10,000-visitor allowance and includes ten sites. Essential is $39 at that traffic level. Widget experiments are one reason to budget for Premium. Claspo counts pageviews on pages carrying its script, including visits that do not display a widget. Its branded free tier covers one site.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Personizely and Claspo in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
