Poper vs Claspo.
Who gets the prize and who gets the signup?
Compare Poper and Claspo for reward mechanics, competing offers, form mapping and delivery to newsletter or CRM lists.
What do you need your website to do next?
A retailer runs a prize draw while its newsletter invitation is still active. The game designer cares about who wins. The email editor needs to know which offer brought the subscriber in. A shopper who closes the game may still qualify for the newsletter popup on the same page.
Poper’s Plinko controls make sense when the brief starts with odds, slots and prizes. Claspo combines game mechanics with rules for queuing or suppressing competing widgets. Start with the failure that would cost the shop most: issuing the wrong prize, showing two offers together or losing the source of a signup.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Poper has separate editors for popups, forms, games, quizzes and surveys. The choice of campaign type determines where the team will maintain the design. Claspo offers bars, popups and teasers that can reopen a widget after dismissal.

Data & reporting
Keep entries, subscribers and redeemed prizes in separate columns. A visitor can win, leave an address and never buy. Compare each count with the record held by the system that owns it. Poper provides lead and campaign reports. For a prize promotion, reconcile the collected entries with the store’s redeemed rewards. Claspo reports widget test performance. For a promotion, match that result to the store’s redemption records to see how many collected offers buyers used.

Integrations
For SendFox, Poper offers mapping in the editor while Claspo documents an authenticated webhook. In beehiiv, both offer publication-specific setup. The lower-maintenance choice can change with the destination. Poper connects individual popups to email services and CRMs. Available fields depend on the connector, and webhook access can require an upgrade. Claspo can combine a visitor’s answers with static campaign values on connectors that expose both kinds of field. Webhooks provide a configurable delivery route.
| Integrations | Poper | Claspo |
|---|---|---|
| +0.13 ActiveCampaign, Acumbamail, Benchmark, Bento, BirdSend, Brevo, Drip, Elastic Email, Encharge, Enginemailer, Flodesk, Keila, Kit, Mailercloud, MailerLite, Mailmodo, Mailvio, Mautic, Omnisend, Remarkety, Rule, Selzy, Sender, Sendloop, Sendy, Simplero, Systeme.io, VBOUT, Zagomail: Send subscribers collected by Poper forms to the connected email platform. beehiiv: Enter the API key and publication ID in the popup’s beehiiv integration. Map the form values before saving. Test the address in the intended publication, especially after duplicating a popup to promote a second newsletter from the same account. Customer.io: Connect the Customer.io Site ID and API key in Poper, then match the form inputs to Customer.io attributes. Use an existing attribute key if a journey or segment already reads it. Verify the identity of a returning person before sending another offer. EmailOctopus: Add the API key in the popup’s EmailOctopus integration and select a target list. Map the captured values to fields that exist on that list. A personalization field can then hold an individual answer instead of assigning every subscriber the same label. iContact: Enter the client folder details and authorize iContact from the popup. Select the receiving lists and map inputs to their corresponding subscriber fields. Test a fresh address in the chosen folder before copying the setup to another publication. Mailjet: Connect the Mailjet API key and secret from the popup editor. Choose the destination list and map the signup fields. For a multilingual newsletter, check the stored language property against the value the Mailjet segment expects. Moosend: Enter the Moosend API key in Poper, retrieve the account’s lists and select one. Map form inputs to Moosend fields before saving. Open a subscriber on that list to check the value used by the next segment or personalized mailing. SendFox: Create the SendFox key, connect the popup, select its destination and review the input mappings in Poper. Start with the subscriber email. Check which additional values are accepted by SendFox before including them in a personalization rule. Sendlane: Connect Sendlane in the popup editor using an API key. Select a list and any offer tags, then map the inputs to Sendlane fields. This gives a signup both a destination and a way to distinguish the promotion that collected it. SendPulse: Connect the SendPulse account from the popup editor with its API credentials. Choose the list and map the popup fields to the subscriber attributes needed for follow-up. A separate field for the offer source lets several popups share an address book. AWeber: Sign in to AWeber from the popup’s Integrations tab and select a subscriber list. Map the Poper inputs to existing AWeber field keys. For a preference beyond the standard fields, add an attribute in the mapping and make sure its key exists in AWeber. Campaign Monitor: Supply a Campaign Monitor API key and client ID in the Poper integration. Select the destination list and review field mapping before saving the popup. The guide says lists from multiple brands can appear, making the list choice especially important for agencies. Constant Contact: Name the connection in the popup editor and sign in to Constant Contact. Selecting a list is optional. Poper fetches the account’s custom fields for mapping, so an answer can travel with the address. Choose the list explicitly if membership starts your follow-up. GetResponse: Enter the GetResponse API key in the popup editor, select a list and map the submitted fields, including custom fields. The guide describes a subscriber arriving on the selected list. Check the autoresponder day independently if this signup starts a timed course. Klaviyo: Connect Klaviyo, choose a list and map popup inputs to its fields. Configure reward delivery and the subsequent email sequence in Klaviyo. | +0.13 Kit: Use Claspo’s webhook integration to send submissions to a Kit form or sequence. The destination ID and request body specify where the subscriber goes and which fields are included. ActiveCampaign, MailBluster, MailerLite, MailWizz, Mautic, Newsletter2Go, Omnisend, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, Acumbamail, VBOUT, Act-On, Userlist: Send widget submissions to an email platform through its documented integration route. Field mapping can include form answers and submission context where the receiving connector supports those values. beehiiv: Connect a beehiiv API key in the widget integration and select the publication. Map the required subscriber data and use static fields for information shared by everyone submitting that widget. Create the receiving fields in the correct publication first. CleverReach: Connect CleverReach at the widget’s integration step and choose the receiving group. Map the required email field and any additional supported inputs; fixed values can identify the particular signup offer. Inspect both recipient activation and field values in CleverReach. Dotdigital: Connect the widget to Dotdigital, choose the address book and map the contact inputs. System values such as site language and fixed campaign labels can go into separate Dotdigital fields. An address book membership alone does not preserve a visitor’s answer. Iterable: Connect the widget to Iterable, choose the subscriber list and map email plus any supported contact fields. Fixed field values can identify the campaign or language. Check the type of each receiving field when extending an existing Iterable profile. SendPulse: Choose SendPulse in the widget’s integrations, authorize with the account credentials and select the mailing list. Map each input to a SendPulse field and add static values if needed. A fixed language value is useful for a form published on only one language version of a site. SendFox: Claspo documents a webhook setup for SendFox. Configure the contacts endpoint and authorize the request with the SendFox token; map the required email and supported optional parameters in the request. If the signup belongs to one list, verify that membership after submitting. Constant Contact: Authorize Constant Contact on the widget’s Integrations step and select a list. Email is required. Map contact inputs such as name or phone, optionally add browser or language data, and use a static value when every signup should carry the same offer name. GetResponse: Connect the API key, choose the mailing list and map the required email address. Claspo can also transfer widget answers, system fields and fixed values. Its guide points to the list’s API subscription settings for signups that require a confirmation message. SendGrid: Create a restricted SendGrid key with Marketing access as specified in Claspo’s guide, then choose the list in the widget. Map email and any other supported form fields; static values can label the source. This lets a team identify the popup offer on the marketing contact. Klaviyo: Select a list and map each widget’s fields, including custom properties. Email and SMS subscription requests run separately and follow the list’s opt-in settings. Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp, choose an audience and map fields; email is required. Select existing groups, add fixed values and enable opt-in confirmation as needed. A Test button checks the setup. | |

| CRM | +0.13 Ontraport: In the popup integration, supply the Ontraport API ID and key, choose the tag and map the form inputs to contact fields. Test that both the tag and a variable answer arrive on one person before attaching a follow-up sequence. GoHighLevel, Intercom, Crisp, Gist, Zendesk, Zixflow, Nutshell, Close, Capsule, Clio, Nimble, Apptivo, EngageBay, Agile CRM, Oracle Eloqua: Map contact fields into sales and communication tools. Pipedrive: Sign in to Pipedrive through Poper, select a workspace label and map the form inputs to Pipedrive fields. The label helps the sales team find records from this form. Check deal creation separately when a report counts opportunities rather than people. Zoho CRM: Authorize Zoho CRM from Poper and map popup inputs to corresponding CRM fields. A qualifying question needs a matching destination key. Inspect the resulting record and its module before promising that a form will put a deal in a salesperson’s pipeline. HubSpot: Authorize HubSpot in the popup’s Integrations settings and map inputs to contact properties. Additional attributes carry custom data; the account must allow contact creation. | +0.13 SalesDrive, FluentCRM: Route form submissions into your CRM. Pipedrive: Connect the Pipedrive API token, include Name in the widget and map the supported inputs. You can also create a deal linked to the contact and use a selected component as the deal title. Claspo’s guide excludes transfer to custom Pipedrive fields. Zoho CRM: Authorize Claspo, choose the Zoho CRM module in the widget integration and map the inputs. The guide names Leads and Contacts and requires last_name. It also supports mapping system values and supplying a fixed field such as the enquiry source. Salesforce: Authorize Salesforce from the widget’s integrations and configure the destination and mapped fields. Claspo requires last name in its setup. Map a real surname field for a sales enquiry, then check that the remaining contact and campaign values reach the expected CRM fields. HubSpot: Select a static list and map widget, system or fixed values to contact fields. Email is required; contacts use single opt-in. Active lists are not supported. |

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Poper and Claspo in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
