Poper vs Getsitecontrol.
A prize draw or a useful next question?
Compare Poper and Getsitecontrol for reward games, conditional surveys, lead delivery, Shopify actions and the monthly plan needed to run each campaign.
What do you need your website to do next?
A store can exchange an incentive for an address in many ways. In one promotion, visitors drop a ball, win a particular prize and expect to receive it. In another, a wholesale buyer answers a qualifying question and expects a sales response. Both might end in a submit event, but they put different obligations on the operator.
Start with Poper for a game with a defined distribution of rewards. Start with Getsitecontrol when the response should change the next field, the shopper’s cart or a subsequent email. Compare the paid plan that handles delivery and reporting rather than the editor in which the first draft looks right.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Poper offers notices alongside distinct popup, game, form, quiz and survey builders. An operator responsible for several formats should identify which builder and plan own each live campaign. Getsitecontrol builds standalone notices, slide-ins and bars, with teasers, countdowns and dynamic text. Desktop and mobile styles can be adjusted separately.

Forms
Poper includes free text, single and multiple choices, phone, hidden inputs and consent. Conditional paths can change the plan needed for an otherwise straightforward lead form. Getsitecontrol collects email, phone, text, single-choice and multiple-choice answers. It adds star, NPS, emoji and binary ratings, hidden values and consent checkboxes. Conditional fields and page branching tailor the next question to an earlier answer. Double opt-in verifies email ownership, while reCAPTCHA screens suspicious submissions.

Surveys
For a poor rating followed by a service complaint, verify that the comment and score arrive together and that leaving an email remains optional where intended. Poper offers NPS and other rating formats in its survey suite. Business lists surveys and branching. Compare the entitlement and the resulting response record with a Getsitecontrol feedback widget. Getsitecontrol collects feedback with NPS, star, emoji and binary ratings inside widgets.

Gamification
Try a winning session followed by a losing one using two test visitors. The store needs both promises to be fulfilled correctly even if only one of them produces a coupon. Poper’s catalogue showed six game engines. Plinko exposed prizes for individual slots, a losing outcome and win probabilities. For a seasonal merchant, what happens after the result can matter more than the animation.
Getsitecontrol offers a prize wheel, a scratch card and a tap-to-reveal card. Prize settings include codes and relative weights, with replay controls. The wheel adds spin duration and a pause after spinning; the scratch card sets how much of the cover must be removed.

Targeting
Poper can restrict a campaign by page, device, location and audience conditions. Check the advertised reward and eligibility again on a returning visit after a visitor has already played. Getsitecontrol combines page, device, location, referral and visitor conditions, including Shopify cart data. Widgets can open after a delay, on scroll or on exit intent. Repeat-display settings respond to a view, closure or action; schedules use dates, hours and weekdays.

Experiments
Poper Pro includes A/B testing. Choose an outcome both variations can produce, such as a confirmed contact or a redeemed order, before comparing a game with an ordinary signup. Getsitecontrol Pro runs widget A/B tests with random visitor assignment and reports views, actions and click-through rate for each variant. Tests end manually. Its separate email-broadcast testing can select a winning email, which does not establish an automatic winner for popup tests.

Getsitecontrol can handle email with separately billed sends. Getsitecontrol has its own email editor, broadcasts, contact segments and automations. A form submission can start a welcome sequence; workflows can add delays, apply conditions and respond to contact or store events. Email sends are billed as credits separately from widget views.

Getsitecontrol assigns None, View, Edit or Full access separately to widgets, emails and contacts on each site. Edit allows drafting; Full adds actions such as activation, sending or exports. Integrations
The inspected Poper catalogue listed Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Google Sheets and Webhook. Webhook access prompted an upgrade on Free. Quote the route that delivers the production entry. Getsitecontrol connects forms to email services, CRM destinations, Google Sheets, Zapier and analytics. Field mapping passes form, system and static values to the destination. Webhooks provide another route for submissions, and its own contact list can power native email campaigns.

| +0.13 ActiveCampaign, Acumbamail, Benchmark, Bento, BirdSend, Brevo, Drip, Elastic Email, Encharge, Enginemailer, Flodesk, Keila, Kit, Mailercloud, MailerLite, Mailmodo, Mailvio, Mautic, Omnisend, Remarkety, Rule, Selzy, Sender, Sendloop, Sendy, Simplero, Systeme.io, VBOUT, Zagomail: Send subscribers collected by Poper forms to the connected email platform. beehiiv: Enter the API key and publication ID in the popup’s beehiiv integration. Map the form values before saving. Test the address in the intended publication, especially after duplicating a popup to promote a second newsletter from the same account. Customer.io: Connect the Customer.io Site ID and API key in Poper, then match the form inputs to Customer.io attributes. Use an existing attribute key if a journey or segment already reads it. Verify the identity of a returning person before sending another offer. EmailOctopus: Add the API key in the popup’s EmailOctopus integration and select a target list. Map the captured values to fields that exist on that list. A personalization field can then hold an individual answer instead of assigning every subscriber the same label. iContact: Enter the client folder details and authorize iContact from the popup. Select the receiving lists and map inputs to their corresponding subscriber fields. Test a fresh address in the chosen folder before copying the setup to another publication. Mailjet: Connect the Mailjet API key and secret from the popup editor. Choose the destination list and map the signup fields. For a multilingual newsletter, check the stored language property against the value the Mailjet segment expects. Moosend: Enter the Moosend API key in Poper, retrieve the account’s lists and select one. Map form inputs to Moosend fields before saving. Open a subscriber on that list to check the value used by the next segment or personalized mailing. SendFox: Create the SendFox key, connect the popup, select its destination and review the input mappings in Poper. Start with the subscriber email. Check which additional values are accepted by SendFox before including them in a personalization rule. Sendlane: Connect Sendlane in the popup editor using an API key. Select a list and any offer tags, then map the inputs to Sendlane fields. This gives a signup both a destination and a way to distinguish the promotion that collected it. SendPulse: Connect the SendPulse account from the popup editor with its API credentials. Choose the list and map the popup fields to the subscriber attributes needed for follow-up. A separate field for the offer source lets several popups share an address book. AWeber: Sign in to AWeber from the popup’s Integrations tab and select a subscriber list. Map the Poper inputs to existing AWeber field keys. For a preference beyond the standard fields, add an attribute in the mapping and make sure its key exists in AWeber. Campaign Monitor: Supply a Campaign Monitor API key and client ID in the Poper integration. Select the destination list and review field mapping before saving the popup. The guide says lists from multiple brands can appear, making the list choice especially important for agencies. Constant Contact: Name the connection in the popup editor and sign in to Constant Contact. Selecting a list is optional. Poper fetches the account’s custom fields for mapping, so an answer can travel with the address. Choose the list explicitly if membership starts your follow-up. GetResponse: Enter the GetResponse API key in the popup editor, select a list and map the submitted fields, including custom fields. The guide describes a subscriber arriving on the selected list. Check the autoresponder day independently if this signup starts a timed course. Klaviyo: Connect Klaviyo, choose a list and map popup inputs to its fields. Configure reward delivery and the subsequent email sequence in Klaviyo. | +0.13 ActiveCampaign: Connect with the ActiveCampaign account URL and API key, choose an existing list and map form answers, visitor details and UTM values. Brevo, MailerLite: Choose the receiving audience and map form answers, visitor details and UTM values. The connection can pass both subscriber information and campaign context to the email platform. Constant Contact: Open the form’s Integrations tab, add Constant Contact and authorize the account. Select an existing list, then map each form answer to its receiving field. The connection applies to that form, so a second signup offer can use a different list. Mailchimp: Choose an audience, map form and system fields, and optionally require opt-in confirmation. Mailchimp groups accept mapped radio-button or checkbox option values. Email integrations and field mapping are included in Free. Klaviyo: Select an existing Klaviyo list and map widget fields to profile properties. Create a new list in Klaviyo before selecting it here. Email integrations and field mapping are included in Free. | |

| CRM | +0.13 Ontraport: In the popup integration, supply the Ontraport API ID and key, choose the tag and map the form inputs to contact fields. Test that both the tag and a variable answer arrive on one person before attaching a follow-up sequence. GoHighLevel, Intercom, Crisp, Gist, Zendesk, Zixflow, Nutshell, Close, Capsule, Clio, Nimble, Apptivo, EngageBay, Agile CRM, Oracle Eloqua: Map contact fields into sales and communication tools. Pipedrive: Sign in to Pipedrive through Poper, select a workspace label and map the form inputs to Pipedrive fields. The label helps the sales team find records from this form. Check deal creation separately when a report counts opportunities rather than people. Zoho CRM: Authorize Zoho CRM from Poper and map popup inputs to corresponding CRM fields. A qualifying question needs a matching destination key. Inspect the resulting record and its module before promising that a form will put a deal in a salesperson’s pipeline. HubSpot: Authorize HubSpot in the popup’s Integrations settings and map inputs to contact properties. Shopify
Shopify conditions appeared in Poper’s editor. A targeting condition for store visitors is distinct from the action of adding a product or applying a discount inside the store. Getsitecontrol uses Shopify cart and customer parameters in targeting, and widget buttons can add a product to the cart or apply a discount. The main GSC Email Marketing + Popups app also connects store events to email workflows. The separate GSC Popup, Email Pop Up app carries the Built for Shopify badge and supports Shopify Flow; neither earns points for Getsitecontrol.

Pricing
A large free-editor feature set is useful for design trials. Price the live branch, destination connection and expected traffic in the same monthly offer before choosing. The recorded Poper account showed promotional monthly offers at the 50,000-visitor selector setting. Usage was labelled in pageviews. Compare a written account quote against Getsitecontrol’s per-site widget displays and separate email credits.
Getsitecontrol Free includes 10,000 widget views per month. Pro costs $19 per month per site for 100,000 views; Pro Max costs $29 for unlimited views. Email credits are separate, so a popup-only bill and a popup-plus-email bill are different calculations.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Poper and Getsitecontrol in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
