Elfsight vs Claspo.
A few widgets or a season of campaigns?
Compare Elfsight Popup and Claspo for conditional forms, games, live A/B tests, team access and pricing by widget loads or website pageviews.
What do you need your website to do next?
A studio needs a returns notice, a wholesale enquiry and a seasonal promotion. Three saved widgets may be plenty if the designs stay in place all year. They can become a bottleneck when the marketing team wants fresh variations every week and needs to know which one changed the result.
Elfsight makes a straightforward case for small installations with conditional fields and known destinations. Claspo is a stronger trial for teams comparing offers, scheduling games or preventing overlapping campaigns. A Shopify merchant should check access through the store before promising a client the permissions described for Claspo’s web app.
Count the traffic that reaches the code as well as the number of saved designs. Elfsight measures widget loads. Claspo’s plans use website pageviews. A narrower display rule can improve the visitor experience without reducing either bill.
How the comparison works
15 rounds compare both platforms against the same 196 capability criteria, with 100 points distributed across the sections. Each round explains the practical differences and adds to the running score. The table beneath each round shows how the points are awarded. The conclusions bring those results together for different uses of the platforms.
Formats & content
Elfsight can show information with text, an image and a close control, without a form or action button. It also includes a timer and element-level device visibility. Announcement Bar is a separate Elfsight app. Claspo can place a bar at the top or bottom of a page and use a teaser to reopen an invitation. The more consequential difference for a busy site is being able to manage what happens when multiple campaigns qualify.

Forms
For a wholesale request, submit a retail answer and a trade answer. Check the fields that become visible and the values the destination receives. A form that looks right can still leave the recipient guessing which branch the visitor took.
Elfsight supports phone, text, hidden, choice and dropdown fields, multiple selections, consent and required inputs. Conditional visibility can show a field based on another answer. Claspo forms can collect phone, email, written and choice answers, carry hidden values and split the journey over several screens. Compare conditional questions against the simpler field reveal in an existing Elfsight enquiry.

Surveys
Elfsight forms offer text, choice and dropdown fields, multiple selection and conditional field visibility. This supports questions that depend on earlier answers, while result scoring and product recommendations are separate requirements. Claspo has separate rating and NPS components. An operator can collect a recommendation score on its native scale, then inspect how it reaches the reporting destination. An ordinary choice question may be enough for a product-size preference.

Gamification
Elfsight sells Spinning Wheel separately. The Popup subscription covers its own content and form blocks. Claspo’s inspected editor offered eight mechanics, including memory cards, slots and seasonal reveals. Its slot template separates the prize probabilities from the signup step. These controls matter if the visitor’s reward depends on chance.

Targeting
Elfsight combines page and device rules with scheduling, frequency, page-load, delay, scroll, exit and element-click triggers. Elements can have separate desktop and mobile visibility. Claspo combines URL, device, location, date and repeat-display controls. Its annoyance safeguard can queue competing widgets with an interval or suppress one for the session. Try a service notice at the same time as the holiday game.

Experiments
Duplicating an Elfsight widget can help a designer explore a layout. Choose Claspo when two versions must run against comparable audiences and produce a result the operator can use to pick a winner. If the job is maintaining a few factual notices, the lack of a confirmed experiment workflow may be less important than the widget count and required display controls. Claspo includes widget A/B testing even on the free Shopify tier. Traffic capacity and branding may still change the plan needed for the actual experiment.

Email & SMS
A Popup form can send an autoresponder email and forward the signup to Mailchimp. A newsletter series runs in the connected mailing service. Claspo can hand the signup and its fields to an email platform. A merchant replacing an Elfsight autoresponse should decide which connected service will deliver the promised reply and what triggers it.

Team & sites
Compare the account used by the actual client. Elfsight project members have defined limits on creating widgets and accessing billing. Claspo’s documented web-app roles should not be inferred from a Shopify traffic price. Elfsight Pro includes one collaborator and three projects; Premium includes three collaborators and nine projects with project-only sharing. Project members cannot create or delete widgets or manage billing, and custom project roles are not supported. Claspo documents Admin, Marketer, Analyst and Viewer access in its web app. Its help guidance distinguishes Shopify accounts. Verify the invite and site permissions from the installation the client will own.

Developer
Elfsight forwards form responses to a supplied endpoint and supports automation connections. These submission routes move visitor data; they do not establish external control over widget configuration or publication. Claspo’s browser API can open an existing widget, while webhooks can deliver a submission to another system. These suit a developer wiring a page button and a team forwarding a response, respectively.

Editor & workflow
The AI assistant generates editable text and form blocks. In our draft it labelled consent as required while leaving the actual required-field control off. Layout and style have separate editor settings. A marketer can prepare a teaser, a game and the subsequent signup inside Claspo. For a site that needs three quiet notices instead, template variety alone gives little reason to recreate the existing library.

Data & reporting
For a notice with no action button, use delivery and audience context rather than treating a missing click as failure. For a signup, keep submissions and downstream contact delivery distinct from the load count. For a game-led trial, distinguish starting the game, submitting the form and redeeming the reward. Claspo’s experiments and analytics integrations can help investigate results, but the store still owns the final redemption record.

Integrations
Elfsight Popup can send form entries directly to Mailchimp or post them to a webhook. A site using another mailing platform can route the submission through an automation service. Claspo documents delivery to Google Sheets, email and CRM destinations, along with webhook and automation routes. Compare the mapping of the actual answer field before treating a connector as a replacement for a working Elfsight handoff.
| Integrations | Elfsight | Claspo |
|---|---|---|
| +0.13 Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp from the Popup form block. Signups arrive under Audience → All contacts; audience management and follow-up emails remain in Mailchimp. | +0.13 Kit: Use Claspo’s webhook integration to send submissions to a Kit form or sequence. The destination ID and request body specify where the subscriber goes and which fields are included. ActiveCampaign, MailBluster, MailerLite, MailWizz, Mautic, Newsletter2Go, Omnisend, Brevo, Zoho Campaigns, Acumbamail, VBOUT, Act-On, Userlist: Send widget submissions to an email platform through its documented integration route. Field mapping can include form answers and submission context where the receiving connector supports those values. beehiiv: Connect a beehiiv API key in the widget integration and select the publication. Map the required subscriber data and use static fields for information shared by everyone submitting that widget. Create the receiving fields in the correct publication first. CleverReach: Connect CleverReach at the widget’s integration step and choose the receiving group. Map the required email field and any additional supported inputs; fixed values can identify the particular signup offer. Inspect both recipient activation and field values in CleverReach. Dotdigital: Connect the widget to Dotdigital, choose the address book and map the contact inputs. System values such as site language and fixed campaign labels can go into separate Dotdigital fields. An address book membership alone does not preserve a visitor’s answer. Iterable: Connect the widget to Iterable, choose the subscriber list and map email plus any supported contact fields. Fixed field values can identify the campaign or language. Check the type of each receiving field when extending an existing Iterable profile. SendPulse: Choose SendPulse in the widget’s integrations, authorize with the account credentials and select the mailing list. Map each input to a SendPulse field and add static values if needed. A fixed language value is useful for a form published on only one language version of a site. SendFox: Claspo documents a webhook setup for SendFox. Configure the contacts endpoint and authorize the request with the SendFox token; map the required email and supported optional parameters in the request. If the signup belongs to one list, verify that membership after submitting. Constant Contact: Authorize Constant Contact on the widget’s Integrations step and select a list. Email is required. Map contact inputs such as name or phone, optionally add browser or language data, and use a static value when every signup should carry the same offer name. GetResponse: Connect the API key, choose the mailing list and map the required email address. Claspo can also transfer widget answers, system fields and fixed values. Its guide points to the list’s API subscription settings for signups that require a confirmation message. SendGrid: Create a restricted SendGrid key with Marketing access as specified in Claspo’s guide, then choose the list in the widget. Map email and any other supported form fields; static values can label the source. This lets a team identify the popup offer on the marketing contact. Klaviyo: Select a list and map each widget’s fields, including custom properties. Email and SMS subscription requests run separately and follow the list’s opt-in settings. Mailchimp: Authorize Mailchimp, choose an audience and map fields; email is required. Select existing groups, add fixed values and enable opt-in confirmation as needed. A Test button checks the setup. | |

| CRM | — | +0.25 SalesDrive, FluentCRM: Route form submissions into your CRM. Pipedrive: Connect the Pipedrive API token, include Name in the widget and map the supported inputs. You can also create a deal linked to the contact and use a selected component as the deal title. Claspo’s guide excludes transfer to custom Pipedrive fields. Zoho CRM: Authorize Claspo, choose the Zoho CRM module in the widget integration and map the inputs. The guide names Leads and Contacts and requires last_name. It also supports mapping system values and supplying a fixed field such as the enquiry source. Salesforce: Authorize Salesforce from the widget’s integrations and configure the destination and mapped fields. Claspo requires last name in its setup. Map a real surname field for a sales enquiry, then check that the remaining contact and campaign values reach the expected CRM fields. HubSpot: Select a static list and map widget, system or fixed values to contact fields. Email is required; contacts use single opt-in. Active lists are not supported. |

Shopify
Elfsight Popup can show a notice or collect a form response. Its reviewed Popup feature set does not establish store-native cart or discount operations. Claspo has a Shopify installation with game and test access on its free traffic tier. A store requiring a particular cart mutation should still verify that operation separately from installing the app or handing a signup to its sender.

Pricing
Compare the two installation patterns. A widget loaded only on a quiet landing page has a different footprint from one installed throughout the site. For an unbranded production campaign, include the first tier that removes the relevant vendor badge. Elfsight Basic costs $6 monthly for three widgets, 5,000 monthly loads and branding removal. Free includes one widget and 200 monthly loads. A load can be billed even when the visitor never sees the popup.
Claspo Free includes the feature set with branding on one site up to 3,000 pageviews. Elfsight Free covers one Popup widget and 200 loads. Use the expected full month in each unit, then compare the unbranded tiers for the live brief.

What matters most to you?
Let’s put your priorities first
First, check that each tool can do the task. An absent or unconfirmed required capability means a dash with an explanation instead of a scenario score, and no winner highlight. Only qualifying tools share the points; a sole qualifier earns the full weight of each criterion it meets. 70 points go to the criteria directly related to it, and 30 to everything else. For “Popups without email marketing”, all 100 points go to the included capabilities and relevant popup pricing scenarios; unwanted features and email sending have zero weight. Both tools earn points for confirmed capabilities; unconfirmed ones earn zero. The first row keeps the original overall score.

How the comparison works
These scores are relative to Elfsight and Claspo in this comparison. They cannot be carried over to comparisons with other products: each tool’s points depend on what the other participant offers.
Relative scores, not universal ratings
The same capability earns half the points when both tools have it, and all the points when only one does. Changing the opponent can therefore change a product’s score without changing the product itself. The review pages separately show absolute capability ratings without price.
One shared pool of 100 points
The 15 rounds cover 196 criteria. Each round has a set weight, divided equally among its criteria. These weights are our editorial choices.
How features earn points
If both products meet a criterion, they split its points equally. If only one does, it earns all of them. An unconfirmed capability earns zero. If neither qualifies, those points are not awarded, so the two totals can add up to less than 100.
How prices earn points
Ten scenarios carry 1 point each. We use the cheapest confirmed plan meeting each scenario’s traffic and feature requirements, billed monthly in USD. Equal prices split the point; a plan costing half as much earns twice the share. A free qualifying plan beats a paid one. If only one suitable plan and price are confirmed, it earns the full point.
Which plans count
Feature rounds cover capabilities across the products’ plans. The total does not describe a single subscription; the pricing scenarios identify the plan needed for each stated use case.
How your priorities change the score
A tool must first meet the task’s required capabilities. If a requirement is absent or unconfirmed, its scenario score is shown as a dash and it cannot be the winner; the status explains why. Only qualifying tools participate in point allocation and price comparisons. A sole qualifying tool earns the full weight of each criterion it meets; criteria it does not meet remain unearned. Standard priorities assign 70 points to their relevant criteria and 30 to the rest, preserving relative weights within each group. “Popups without email marketing” instead distributes all 100 points among its included criteria, preserving their relative weights and giving everything else zero. It includes lead capture, testing, reporting and external handoff. Its pricing criteria exclude email sending and feedback workloads. Included email features carry no penalty: only the required plan price counts. The evidence and scoring rules stay the same. The overall-feature row keeps the original weights.
