Constant Contact Popup Integrations: Lists, Fields and Signup Forms
Compare 13 popup tools for Constant Contact. See how each connects, which signup fields reach a list, and how to keep several offers under one account.
A bookstore might use one popup for its monthly newsletter and another for author events. Both collect the same address. Only one promises an invitation to the next reading. If the integration drops the list choice or the reader’s interest, the bookstore loses the distinction that made the second form worth building.
Start with the list that should receive the signup. If the next email also depends on a location, a topic or the offer on the page, choose a connector that shows exactly where that second piece of information goes.
What does a signup look like in Constant Contact?
A contact can belong to more than one list. In a bookstore account, an existing newsletter reader can join the events list without becoming a second person. Count the additions to the events list when evaluating the event popup. Counting only new contacts across the account misses returning readers.
For a simple newsletter, Hello Bar documents signing in and selecting a list. A form that asks about genres needs a destination for the answer as well. For example, Claspo can send the genre the reader chose alongside a fixed value identifying the offer.
What should your Constant Contact popup send?
| Requirement | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Destination list | Use the list attached to the offer. If two popups lead to different mailings, check the setting on both campaigns after duplicating one. |
| Reader preference | Create a receiving field for the answer and check its stored value. A list of event invitees cannot tell the organizer which city each reader chose. |
| Campaign source | Use a fixed value to identify a particular form or promotion. Decide whether a later signup should overwrite it before using it as a first-touch source. |
| Known contacts | Check whether a second submission adds list membership, changes a preference, or creates another welcome email. Each affects a different report. |

Sorted by Popup Papa’s absolute capability score out of 100. This measures the overall toolkit, not the depth of this one integration. Prices are the directory’s Papa pick plans, not guaranteed minimum connector prices. Check the connector tier and capacity before buying; Constant Contact and any bridge subscription are separate.

Starting points for different needs
Hello Bar
A good starting point for one newsletter and one list. An editor can follow the connection through to its destination without designing a field map.
Getsitecontrol
Useful when two visually similar forms collect different answers. Map each input in the form editor and inspect the corresponding field on a contact.
Claspo
Consider Claspo when the subscriber supplies one value and the campaign must supply another. A shop can send a chosen city alongside a fixed event identifier.
How each connection works
Connection details and plan conditions are shown below. The field tables describe the popup editor; supported transfer depends on the connector.
Getsitecontrol
Connection to Constant Contact
Open the form’s Integrations tab, add Constant Contact and authorize the account. Select an existing list, then map each form answer to its receiving field. The connection applies to that form, so a second signup offer can use a different list.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Field mapping | Map form fields, system values and static values to an external service. |
| Multiple choice | Let visitors select several answers using checkboxes. |
| Phone field | Collect a phone number with a dedicated form field. |
| Free text | Collect written feedback in a text field, including a comment after a rating. |
| Single choice | Let visitors choose one answer using radio buttons or a dropdown list. |
| Consent checkbox | Add a consent checkbox to a signup form. |
| Hidden fields | Attach hidden values such as UTM parameters to form submissions. |
| Email double opt-in | Send a confirmation email and add only confirmed respondents to the contact list. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
All features and branding removal are included in Pro. Email sends are billed separately; the subscription and widget-view allowance are per site.
Poptin
Connection to Constant Contact
In the popup editor, open Email and Integrations, add Constant Contact and select the email list for new subscribers. Poptin documents signup delivery there. Its walkthrough does not enumerate optional fields, so inspect a contact before relying on a phone number or a preference.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Single choice | The inspected field offers Radio and Single-select display modes, with editable option labels and values. This confirms one selected answer; it does not establish a scored quiz or rating scale. |
| Email double opt-in | Choose a double opt-in setting for the popup or inherit the account setting. |
| Phone field | Collect a phone number in a dedicated contact field. |
| Free text | Collect a written response with the Message field. |
| Consent checkbox | Add an Email Consent checkbox alongside the signup fields. |
| Hidden fields | Set an input field to Hidden instead of displaying it to visitors. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Unbranded popup campaigns with a practical visitor allowance. Email bundles are separate.
Personizely
Connection to Constant Contact
Authorize Constant Contact in Settings → Integrations, then edit the subscription form in the widget and select its action and destination list. Authorization alone does not assign the list. The guide demonstrates adding new contacts and leaves extra field mapping unspecified.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The form editor offers a Phone field. This alone does not establish SMS subscription or delivery. |
| Free text | Custom fields include text and textarea for free-text answers. |
| Single choice | Custom fields include select and radio controls for one answer. |
| Multiple choice | A multiple-choice custom field type is available. |
| Consent checkbox | Separate email marketing, SMS marketing and privacy consent fields are available.Email marketing consent · SMS marketing consent · Privacy terms consent |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Adds widget A/B testing and personalization; Essential has a different testing scope.
Pop Convert
Connection to Constant Contact
Constant Contact appears in the Shopify app’s integrations catalogue for forwarding subscribers. The account record identifies the destination but leaves the authorization method, list selection and extra contact fields unverified. A subscriber in Pop Convert’s own email flow is only evidence of local capture.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email capture | Collect email addresses into the customer list. |
| Phone field | Add a phone-number field with a country code. |
| Free text | Add short text inputs or a multi-line text area for feedback. |
| Single choice | Add a dropdown or radio group for a single answer. |
| Multiple choice | Add a checkbox group so visitors can select several answers. |
| Consent checkbox | Add a checkbox for terms, consent or an opt-in toggle. |
Papa’s take
The app price follows the Shopify plan. The account shows Free with 2,000 sessions, 100 subscribers and 250 emails monthly; the public listing gives lower Free limits.
Poper
Connection to Constant Contact
Name the connection in the popup editor and sign in to Constant Contact. Selecting a list is optional. Poper fetches the account’s custom fields for mapping, so an answer can travel with the address. Choose the list explicitly if membership starts your follow-up.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | Popup and standalone form editors offer a Phone field. This establishes number collection, not SMS consent or message delivery. |
| Free text | Standalone forms and surveys offer Short Text and Long Text fields for written answers. |
| Single choice | Dropdown and Radio controls are available in the popup, form and survey editors. |
| Multiple choice | The form and survey logic library offers a Checkbox Group for multiple choices. |
| Consent checkbox | The standalone form and survey libraries include a Terms control; popup forms offer a Checkbox element. Consent wording needs configuring for the intended use. |
| Hidden fields | The popup integration step offers hidden inputs. Forms and surveys also expose Hidden fields and a dedicated settings section. |
| Email capture | The AI-generated popup contains an email field. The Plinko editor also has an email gate before play. |
Papa’s take
Pro adds tests, games and integrations. The inspected monthly price is a promotion; confirm the traffic definition and ongoing rate before paying.
Hello Bar
Connection to Constant Contact
Under Contacts, create a contact list, choose Constant Contact, sign in and select the receiving list. Campaigns using that Hello Bar list send their email signups there. The setup guide does not identify any extra contact fields.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Field mapping | Select a Salesforce Contact or Lead destination and map popup inputs to its fields. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses in signup and game campaigns. |
| Phone field | Include a phone field alongside email and name. |
| Free text | Add named custom text fields with editable visitor-facing labels. |
| Single choice | Add a dropdown field to collect a single selected answer. |
| Multiple choice | Add a Multi-select field with configurable options and option columns. |
| Consent checkbox | Add a checkbox field to a form. |
Papa’s take
Growth costs $39 per month with monthly billing, or $29 per month billed annually. It includes 50,000 popup views per site, three seats and A/B testing.
Justuno
Connection to Constant Contact
Connect the Constant Contact app by signing in, then map the Justuno properties used in the workflow. Create any custom fields in Constant Contact first so Justuno can retrieve them. This lets a captured answer travel with the subscriber rather than remaining in Justuno.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The editor provides a Phone Number property and the inspected wheel template includes a country-aware mobile-number screen. |
| SMS capture | The wheel template separates mobile capture from email capture and includes SMS marketing consent copy, Terms and Privacy links. |
| Free text | Short Text and Long Text fields are available in the editor, alongside Date and profile properties. |
| Single choice | Radio Button and Single Select controls are available for collecting one answer. |
| Multiple choice | The field library includes Checkbox controls for selectable answers. |
| Consent checkbox | The editor exposes a Consent Checkbox and a separate SMS Opt-In Button. |
| Email capture | An Email Address field was added to an unpublished form. Required input, validation, duplicate handling and prefilling are available. |
Papa’s take
The self-service tier includes experiments without the managed-service fee.
Wisepops
Connection to Constant Contact
Connect Constant Contact in the popup’s email form and choose the subscriber list in the sync settings. This sends new signups to that list. Wisepops explicitly excludes Constant Contact PRO accounts running on Retention Science.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The form field menu includes Phone, separately from Email. |
| Free text | The question menu offers single-line Text and Multi-line text fields. |
| Single choice | Radio buttons and a Drop-down list are available in the question menu. |
| Multiple choice | The question menu includes Checkboxes for selecting multiple answers. |
| Hidden fields | Hidden field is available in the question menu for values that visitors do not enter visibly. |
| Email capture | Add an Email field to a form step. The inspected field can block addresses already collected. |
Papa’s take
For teams buying a managed onsite program, rather than just a popup editor. Final scope needs a quote.
Claspo
Connection to Constant Contact
Authorize Constant Contact on the widget’s Integrations step and select a list. Email is required. Map contact inputs such as name or phone, optionally add browser or language data, and use a static value when every signup should carry the same offer name.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The editor provides a Phone field. This establishes phone collection, not SMS marketing consent or delivery. |
| Free text | Text input and Text area collect short and long written answers; Calendar and Date fields are also available. |
| Single choice | Dropdown and Radio components collect a single selected answer. |
| Consent checkbox | The component library includes Checkbox and Data processing and terms of use controls. |
| Hidden fields | Attach hidden fields to the widget submission through the editor’s hidden-field settings. |
| Email capture | The editor provides an Email field and a separate signup page in the inspected game template. |
Papa’s take
Removes branding and leaves room for a growing store. Shopify pricing is used here. Team invitations are documented for the web app, but its help center excludes Shopify accounts.
BDOW!
Connection to Constant Contact
Connect the account, choose the default Constant Contact list and save. An individual popup can override the list. BDOW! also documents passing standard contact details and setting up extra or hidden fields, useful when several offers feed one account.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email double opt-in | Enable site-level double opt-in to add the subscriber to the list after email confirmation. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
| Free text | Add text inputs to collect visitor information beyond email. |
| Single choice | Add a dropdown or radio group for a single answer. |
| Multiple choice | Add a checkbox group with editable options, labels and stored variable names. |
| Consent checkbox | Add consent checkboxes, including a dedicated GDPR opt-in element. |
| Hidden fields | Add hidden fields to carry extra values with the submission. |
Papa’s take
New subscriptions use Pro. The legacy free plan ends November 9, 2026.
Picreel
Connection to Constant Contact
Picreel’s published instructions assign a campaign to a Constant Contact list ID. The vendor describes sending earlier leads as well as future submissions to that list. Check the size and eligibility of the existing campaign audience before enabling the sync. The guide does not list custom-field mappings.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Field mapping | Map popup fields to destination CRM fields. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
| Phone field | Add a dedicated phone-number input to a popup form. |
| Free text | Add an Input Box for a visitor's written answer. |
| Single choice | Add radio buttons or a dropdown to collect one choice. |
| Consent checkbox | Add a dedicated Consent field to the form. |
| Hidden fields | Add a Hidden Field to pass a value without a visible input. |
Papa’s take
Enough capacity for straightforward lead capture. Business adds games; A/B testing access needs confirmation.
Adoric
Connection to Constant Contact
In an Adoric Classic form, the Constant Contact setup asks for an API key and access token. Select the list and the fields to send from that form. The guide covers the Classic form product, so check which Adoric editor your store uses.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Classic plan summaries and the in-account feature matrix disagree on tier access. Shopify app pricing is a different offer.
OptinMonster
Connection to Constant Contact
Add Constant Contact in the campaign’s Integrations settings, connect the account and select the email list. Returning subscribers can generate a fresh popup conversion without adding another person to the list. Check the contact record when reconciling counts.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Adds countdowns and advanced targeting. Renews at $870/year ($72.50/month).
How the connection changes the workflow
Example setups using the connections described above.
One reader signs up for two different things
Give the newsletter and event forms different destination lists. BDOW! lets the event popup override a site-wide default. With Hello Bar, use a contact list connected to the intended Constant Contact list for each campaign.
Submit the newsletter first, then request an event invitation with the same address. Look up that person and check both memberships. If you test only two fresh addresses, you have never tested the journey your existing readers will take.
Send local offers without asking where the visitor came from
A chain running the same invitation in several cities needs two pieces of information. The visitor chooses a preferred location, while the page already identifies the branch running the offer. A fixed campaign value avoids making the visitor type something the merchant already knows.
Claspo distinguishes answers from static and system data. Justuno retrieves custom fields created in Constant Contact for mapping. Open the resulting contact and try building the audience for one city before sending a single invitation.
Head-to-head comparisons for Constant Contact users
These comparisons cover the popup tools as a whole. Use them to compare forms, targeting and costs alongside the connection details above.
Hello Bar vs Getsitecontrol
Compare a signup bar with a fuller form builder when the Constant Contact list needs reader preferences.
Personizely vs Adoric
For a Shopify store, compare the form editor you would actually use. Personizely assigns the list on the widget; Adoric documents the connection for its Classic forms.
OptinMonster vs Poptin
If mistyped addresses reach your mailing list, compare Poptin’s input checks with OptinMonster’s two-step signup before changing the offer.
BDOW! vs Picreel
If you are connecting a campaign that has already collected addresses, check which earlier leads may reach Constant Contact, then compare the cost of keeping that campaign live.
Justuno vs Claspo
For local event invitations, compare mapping a visitor’s city from a Justuno workflow with adding a fixed branch code to a Claspo widget.
Check the whole journey before launch
Use a small test campaign with addresses you control. Check the receiving record and the follow-up, not only the popup’s success message.
- Connect a test list and submit from the published form.
- Look up a new subscriber by email and inspect the list, preference and source.
- Join a second offer using that same email. Check both list memberships.
- Compare the growth of this list with popup submissions for the same period.
- Verify which welcome email a returning reader receives.
Common questions
Can two popups feed different Constant Contact lists?
Yes. In BDOW!, for example, a newsletter popup can use the site’s default list while an event popup sends signups to the invitations list. Recheck the destination after cloning either campaign.
Why did the popup report more conversions than new contacts?
An existing reader can submit again. Compare form submissions with additions to the specific list and with unique people separately. OptinMonster also allows conversions on other configured elements.
Does this cover Constant Contact PRO?
Check the product your account actually uses. Wisepops explicitly excludes PRO accounts on Retention Science from its documented Constant Contact sync.
