GetResponse Popup Integrations: Lists, Tags and Autoresponder Days
Compare 12 popup tools for GetResponse. Check list selection, supported fields, tags and autoresponder day before sending signups into an email course.
A new reader can appear in GetResponse and still miss lesson one. The popup may have sent the address to the right list while leaving the autoresponder cycle unset. For an email course, the useful test is whether a reader can start at the beginning on the day they signed up.
A weekly newsletter needs less machinery. Choose the list, check the fields and verify confirmation. Below, the connection notes distinguish that straightforward job from scheduling a series or carrying a quiz answer into later messages.
Start with the first email a subscriber should receive
In GetResponse, list membership and position in an autoresponder cycle answer different questions. The list identifies the audience. The cycle day places a subscriber in a timed series. GetResponse even documents how to set that day manually for an existing contact.
Decide which part of the journey requires a popup tool. For a short name-and-email form, Poptin documents those exact fields. For a course promoted on several landing pages, Wisepops documents a hidden cycle day and Justuno combines that setting with tags and additional fields.
What should your GetResponse popup send?
| Requirement | What to look for |
|---|---|
| List name or token | Some editors show the lists by name, while Poptin requires the list token. Check the actual list in GetResponse after saving the form. |
| Autoresponder day | Choose the starting day that corresponds to the first published message. Check it on the contact as well as in the form configuration. |
| Label versus answer | Use a fixed campaign label for the offer and a mapped custom field for a visitor’s own answer. A tag shared by everyone cannot preserve an individual response. |
| Confirmation | Inspect the receiving list’s settings for API subscriptions. Check the contact before and after following the confirmation link. |

Starting points for different needs
Wisepops
Shortlist it for a course whose starting day must travel with the signup. Its instructions show where to map Day of Cycle on the form.
Justuno
Look here if enrolling a learner needs a list, one or more tags and a hidden cycle day. Its form setup brings those choices together.
Poptin
A practical shortlist entry for a basic name-and-email signup. Its guide identifies both the credentials and the phone-field limitation up front.
How each connection works
Connection details and plan conditions are shown below. The field tables describe the popup editor; supported transfer depends on the connector.
OptiMonk
Connection to GetResponse
Connect GetResponse with an API key in the campaign, select the receiving list and map the popup inputs. A static field lets the merchant send a fixed campaign identifier alongside each address. You can change the list for one campaign while keeping the account connection.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Field mapping | Choose destination lists and map signup fields to email or CRM providers. |
| Phone field | The visual editor exposes a Phone field with a country selector. This establishes collection controls, not SMS consent or delivery. |
| Single choice | Radio options expose editable labels and recorded values. The connected field determines the choice type; switching type requires a new element. |
| Multiple choice | The native choice-group panel supports multiple checkbox options, with an optional required flag. |
| Consent checkbox | The test form rendered an unchecked, optional email-marketing checkbox. It is a recorded choice field.Email marketing consent · Privacy terms consent |
| Free text | The generated form includes an optional comment textarea. An AI revision removed an unwanted duplicate from the first page. |
| Email capture | The inspected email field exposes required-field and error-message settings. A separate Shopify test form rejected empty and malformed email and stored a valid synthetic response in OptiMonk. The earlier multi-step editor preview did not enforce validation. |
Papa’s take
A modest paid traffic tier for an active store; annual billing is cheaper.
Poptin
Connection to GetResponse
In Email and Integrations, enter the GetResponse API key and the target list’s token. Save the popup and look for Poptin’s test lead in that list. Poptin specifies name and email and explicitly excludes the phone field for this connector.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Single choice | The inspected field offers Radio and Single-select display modes, with editable option labels and values. This confirms one selected answer; it does not establish a scored quiz or rating scale. |
| Email double opt-in | Choose a double opt-in setting for the popup or inherit the account setting. |
| Phone field | Collect a phone number in a dedicated contact field. |
| Free text | Collect a written response with the Message field. |
| Consent checkbox | Add an Email Consent checkbox alongside the signup fields. |
| Hidden fields | Set an input field to Hidden instead of displaying it to visitors. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Unbranded popup campaigns with a practical visitor allowance. Email bundles are separate.
Personizely
Connection to GetResponse
Authorize GetResponse from Personizely’s integration settings, then add the GetResponse list action to the subscription form in the widget. That action determines where the new email address lands. The guide confirms list delivery but leaves autoresponder cycle-day handling open.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The form editor offers a Phone field. This alone does not establish SMS subscription or delivery. |
| Free text | Custom fields include text and textarea for free-text answers. |
| Single choice | Custom fields include select and radio controls for one answer. |
| Multiple choice | A multiple-choice custom field type is available. |
| Consent checkbox | Separate email marketing, SMS marketing and privacy consent fields are available.Email marketing consent · SMS marketing consent · Privacy terms consent |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Adds widget A/B testing and personalization; Essential has a different testing scope.
ConvertFlow
Connection to GetResponse
Paste a GetResponse API key into ConvertFlow. The connection retrieves campaigns and tags for form actions. ConvertFlow also documents selecting GetResponse custom fields for its form or survey answers, so a preference can be stored alongside the contact.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| SMS capture | Forms expose a Phone field and separate SMS Consent control; confirmation can use an SMS subscription code. Delivery depends on the connected service. |
| Phone field | Collect phone numbers with the built-in Phone field. SMS consent is a separate form control. |
| Single choice | Dropdown and radio fields collect one answer; survey answers can use text, images, icons, letters, emoji or colours. |
| Multiple choice | Radio/Checkbox Select fields and the survey Multi-Select setting allow multiple answers. |
| Free text | Text and Paragraph fields collect short or long written responses. Number, Date and Range fields are also available. |
| Consent checkbox | Separate Email Consent, SMS Consent and Privacy Consent controls are available in forms.Email marketing consent · SMS marketing consent · Privacy terms consent |
| Hidden fields | Hidden fields can carry extra values; field settings include prefilled values and URL-parameter mapping. |
| Email capture | The editor provides an Email field, prefilling and submission actions. Contacts can pass to a connected newsletter service or CRM. |
Papa’s take
For teams that need funnel A/B testing and conditional recommendations; simple lead capture can use a lower tier. Free is for building and previewing; going live requires a paid website plan. Integrations, validation and AI also consume a separate action allowance.
Pop Convert
Connection to GetResponse
GetResponse is available in the inspected Shopify integration catalogue as a destination for captured subscribers. The available evidence does not identify a cycle-day setting or the extra fields sent. Check a real signup in the intended GetResponse list before moving an existing sequence.

| Email capture | Collect email addresses into the customer list. |
| Phone field | Add a phone-number field with a country code. |
| Free text | Add short text inputs or a multi-line text area for feedback. |
| Single choice | Add a dropdown or radio group for a single answer. |
| Multiple choice | Add a checkbox group so visitors can select several answers. |
| Consent checkbox | Add a checkbox for terms, consent or an opt-in toggle. |
Papa’s take
The app price follows the Shopify plan. The account shows Free with 2,000 sessions, 100 subscribers and 250 emails monthly; the public listing gives lower Free limits.
Poper
Connection to GetResponse
Enter the GetResponse API key in the popup editor, select a list and map the submitted fields, including custom fields. The guide describes a subscriber arriving on the selected list. Check the autoresponder day independently if this signup starts a timed course.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | Popup and standalone form editors offer a Phone field. This establishes number collection, not SMS consent or message delivery. |
| Free text | Standalone forms and surveys offer Short Text and Long Text fields for written answers. |
| Single choice | Dropdown and Radio controls are available in the popup, form and survey editors. |
| Multiple choice | The form and survey logic library offers a Checkbox Group for multiple choices. |
| Consent checkbox | The standalone form and survey libraries include a Terms control; popup forms offer a Checkbox element. Consent wording needs configuring for the intended use. |
| Hidden fields | The popup integration step offers hidden inputs. Forms and surveys also expose Hidden fields and a dedicated settings section. |
| Email capture | The AI-generated popup contains an email field. The Plinko editor also has an email gate before play. |
Papa’s take
Pro adds tests, games and integrations. The inspected monthly price is a promotion; confirm the traffic definition and ongoing rate before paying.

Start a new contact list under Contacts and choose GetResponse. Paste the API key from GetResponse to set up the email sync. The guide describes transferring newsletter addresses and does not specify how to set a subscriber’s autoresponder cycle day.

Justuno
Connection to GetResponse
Connect GetResponse from the promotion’s email-provider settings using an API key. Select the list and tags, then load the additional GetResponse fields needed in the form. Justuno documents a hidden Cycle Day field for specifying where a new subscriber enters an autoresponder.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The editor provides a Phone Number property and the inspected wheel template includes a country-aware mobile-number screen. |
| SMS capture | The wheel template separates mobile capture from email capture and includes SMS marketing consent copy, Terms and Privacy links. |
| Free text | Short Text and Long Text fields are available in the editor, alongside Date and profile properties. |
| Single choice | Radio Button and Single Select controls are available for collecting one answer. |
| Multiple choice | The field library includes Checkbox controls for selectable answers. |

Papa’s take
The self-service tier includes experiments without the managed-service fee.
Wisepops
Connection to GetResponse
Paste the GetResponse API key into the signup form’s sync settings and pick a list. Wisepops documents mapping a hidden form field to Day of Cycle. Populate it deliberately when the first lesson or welcome offer must arrive on a particular day.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The form field menu includes Phone, separately from Email. |
| Free text | The question menu offers single-line Text and Multi-line text fields. |
| Single choice | Radio buttons and a Drop-down list are available in the question menu. |
| Multiple choice | The question menu includes Checkboxes for selecting multiple answers. |
| Hidden fields | Hidden field is available in the question menu for values that visitors do not enter visibly. |
| Email capture | Add an Email field to a form step. The inspected field can block addresses already collected. |
Papa’s take
For teams buying a managed onsite program, rather than just a popup editor. Final scope needs a quote.
Claspo
Connection to GetResponse
Connect the API key, choose the mailing list and map the required email address. Claspo can also transfer widget answers, system fields and fixed values. Its guide points to the list’s API subscription settings for signups that require a confirmation message.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phone field | The editor provides a Phone field. This establishes phone collection, not SMS marketing consent or delivery. |
| Free text | Text input and Text area collect short and long written answers; Calendar and Date fields are also available. |
| Single choice | Dropdown and Radio components collect a single selected answer. |
| Consent checkbox | The component library includes Checkbox and Data processing and terms of use controls. |
| Hidden fields | Attach hidden fields to the widget submission through the editor’s hidden-field settings. |
| Email capture | The editor provides an Email field and a separate signup page in the inspected game template. |
Papa’s take
Removes branding and leaves room for a growing store. Shopify pricing is used here. Team invitations are documented for the web app, but its help center excludes Shopify accounts.
BDOW!
Connection to GetResponse
BDOW! records GetResponse as a subscriber destination. Its email integrations support a site default and individual campaign overrides, but the published material checked does not spell out the GetResponse field mapping or autoresponder settings. Verify both on a test list before replacing a working form.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email double opt-in | Enable site-level double opt-in to add the subscriber to the list after email confirmation. |
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
| Free text | Add text inputs to collect visitor information beyond email. |
| Single choice | Add a dropdown or radio group for a single answer. |
| Multiple choice | Add a checkbox group with editable options, labels and stored variable names. |
| Consent checkbox | Add consent checkboxes, including a dedicated GDPR opt-in element. |
| Hidden fields | Add hidden fields to carry extra values with the submission. |
Papa’s take
New subscriptions use Pro. The legacy free plan ends November 9, 2026.
Adoric
Connection to GetResponse
Choose GetResponse on the Classic form and supply an API key. Select a list and the form fields for transfer. Check the resulting subscriber inside GetResponse if your welcome series depends on a tag or a specific cycle day.
| Editor capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Email capture | Collect email addresses through signup forms and pass new contacts to the connected mailing list. |
Papa’s take
Classic plan summaries and the in-account feature matrix disagree on tier access. Shopify app pricing is a different offer.
How the connection changes the workflow
Example setups using the connections described above.
Two people join the same course a week apart
A course starts on signup rather than on a shared calendar date. Set the intended cycle day in a hidden field so the visitor only sees the questions they can answer. Create one test learner today and another on a later date, then compare their first scheduled lesson.
If the contact exists but has no cycle day, investigate the handoff before rewriting the lesson. If the day is correct, look at the published autoresponder, confirmation and delivery schedule in GetResponse.
A quiz chooses the subject of the next email
Imagine asking whether a subscriber is learning portrait or landscape photography. Preserve the answer as a GetResponse field that the next email can read. A generic tag saying that a quiz was completed answers a different question.
ConvertFlow documents mapping form and survey answers. Claspo can also attach a fixed source on every submission. Run both quiz branches, open the contacts and preview the resulting audience for each lesson.
Head-to-head comparisons for GetResponse users
These comparisons cover the popup tools as a whole. Use them to compare forms, targeting and costs alongside the connection details above.
Justuno vs Wisepops
Both document a cycle-day setting. Compare campaign targeting and experiment controls once you know the first lesson will have an entry signal.
Poptin vs OptiMonk
Compare basic signup capture with the field requirements of a more segmented GetResponse campaign.
ConvertFlow vs Claspo
If the next lesson depends on a quiz answer, compare a product finder with a targeted signup. Both routes can map answers into GetResponse.
OptiMonk vs Wisepops
For an email course promoted across several pages, compare who sees each campaign after checking the source field and cycle day in GetResponse.
Poptin vs Hello Bar
For a straightforward newsletter signup, compare display options and traffic allowances once you know which GetResponse list will receive the address.
Check the whole journey before launch
Use a small test campaign with addresses you control. Check the receiving record and the follow-up, not only the popup’s success message.
- Check the list token or list selection against the receiving account.
- Confirm the actual field containing the learner’s answer.
- Inspect the cycle day on a fresh contact and find the first scheduled lesson.
- Follow a confirmation link when API signups require it.
- Repeat a submission with an existing learner and check whether the series restarts.
Common questions
Can I send a phone number from Poptin to GetResponse?
Poptin’s GetResponse guide specifies name and email and explicitly excludes phone. Other connectors offer their own field selections. Verify a phone field on the receiving record if it is essential.
How do I choose between tags and cycle day?
Use a tag to identify a group or offer. Use the cycle day when the contact needs to enter a timed autoresponder at a particular point. An implementation can need both.
The subscriber is visible. Why is the first lesson missing?
Inspect the list, confirmation state and autoresponder day, then check whether the intended message is active on that day. Presence on the list proves only the contact transfer.
